    Furious Pete and Maria Edible would make a great couple they both care more about themselves than anyone else . Pete should dump his current girlfriend and spend more time with her

    I think it is kind of selfish for this woman to do a full feature on Maria Edible when others competed in Queens that day. Why didnt they get any media attention? How do you know Seiken isnt a part time model? What about Marcos? Hmm Hmm. There were other women at the event including some nut that was screaming obsenities left and right . They should have got an interview with that

    Funny how she went from a mediocre eater before she joined MLE to a pretty decent one. 15 dogs last year and now 20??? Same deal with Eater X. Something in the water

    The claim by her to be a “model” has inspired over 600 comments on the Blue Robbon Hunter web site. The vast majority are negative with many at a level that would make the comments left on Eatgeats seem tame. Apparently every web site has posters who are more like BB and Rhonda types who in a effort to be clever will attempt to harm a person or event via abusive postings.

    Bottom line, Maria is a great eater and a great person. It’s not fair to gripe about this ONE story that focuses on her skills.

    Media outlets always try to put a new spin on a recurring story (competitive eating happens all year, every year), hence the model aspect and focus on Edible. In my opinion, it gives good publicity to the sport of competitive eating, to MLE, to the Nathan’s Famous contest (and the Hooters Wing contest). Publicity like that generates interest, which generates future stories on competitive eating. That means more face-time for others later, when the media tries to find yet another angle to cover the story from. Everyone wins.

    I just find it so bizzare that not more than 2yrs ago she had no interest in joining IFOCE.Now she is not only a devoted eater in the organization but a staunch supporter . It seems as though someone pushed her into joining or gave her a great sales pitch she couldnt refuse

    Rich Shea sees Maria Edible as the perfect compliment for Conti. Expect Edible to join Crazy Legs on the wall of fame by next summer with both images not only taking center stage on the wall but controlling the media aspect of the sport as well

    Hey genius, they didn’t have a women’s division 2 years ago ..MAYBE it seems more inviting for women to join now and that’s just what she did…stupid people shouldn’t speculate!
