2 minute Krystal results: Rios 21, Locust 18

krystalsquareoff.com has a report on today’s 2 minute prequalifiers. Arturo Rios, another northeastern eater heading west, had today’s best mark of 21 burgers. Rich LeFevre managed 18. The strength of the field makes conceivable that all four wild card entrants could come from Memphis.

    Great job to all you speed eaters out there. There are so many people stepping up in these 2 and 8 minutes long contests for Krystals. Arturo did very well getting 21 burgers in 2. Rich also did well with 18, but I know Rich is at his best the longer the contest goes. I will be very interested to see how everything pans out in Memphis. The wildcard race is so close this year, the spots are still wide open. Already there are eight people that have eaten more than 30 in 8 and still not won a qualifying spot. Amazing.

    Great job, Arturo. I met the guy at Buffalo, and he’s top notch. He’s climbing the ladder pretty fast. Look for him to really make a splash in ’07.
