    Good article —- the date should be the 26th, versus the 27th as listed in the pic’s subtext.

    I LOVE a confident Crazy Legs. He’s one of my three or four very favourite eaters and my VERY favourite CE personality, without question. He’s the total package: an excellent eater, a terrific commentator with a great sense of humor, and the best salesperson of the sport on the planet. But even more importantly, in the grand scheme of things, are his God-sent humility and desire to attend to only the best in people. (That’s why he avoids this mostly negative blog.)

    I agree with Ryan Nerz that The Black Widow should be the favorite. She won last year with 32 1/2 ears, and while that wasn’t a record, she should easily improve upon her 2008 performance —- that was her first attempt at corn-on-the-cob, and is a quick learner with great muscle memory.

    Like Crazy Legs, I look for a very close contest between himself, Jammin’ Joe, and The Widow. They’ll certainly give the fans something to cheer about. Yet, it would be a rather large mistake to count out Hall Hunt. He has several years’ experience at that venue.

    Anyway, I said Sonya should be the favorite. That’s a nice way of saying she’ll kick ass. But because I try to emulate Crazy Legs, I don’t want to put a negative spin on things.
