The list of professionals expected to compete in Sunday's meatball eating contest in Midlothian, IL sponsored by Bartolini's has been posted and includes Joe Menchetti, Tom Gilbert, Bob Kuhns and Pete Czerwinski, who will be filmed by German television for an upcoming program.

    pete couldnt eat half what Joey eats and those others will barely be able to eat half what pete eats. remember last time pete was there he won easily. joe wont even show up. this is the ifoce jv team

    Gilbert and Furius Pete should be a race for first. Anybody with a small donation could have had the chance to qualify for this contest. I am curious to find out which eaters were refused. Usually guys like the ones on the roster fall into the category. If you are too good and do independent contests MLE usually is the one doing the snubbing. These guys can eat a lot and IFOCE doesn’t want some of them. Not all of them made the choice to turn down MLE, some of them were turned down by MLE. I am not sure why they get so much negative criticism here.

    Tom is a top ten IFOCE eater he would destory Juliet,stoney,Erik,Monson and Brown everytime without breaking a sweat. The sad part is they all know this and they are glad he is not there.

    Stonie beat goose almost a year ago, and back then he was just starting…. he’s improved drastically since then
    Goose should stop being a hermit and be a bit more colorful to wouldnt everyone agree?

    if dale boone was allowed in he would win. pete would be ranked around 14 in ifoce. goose would barely make the top 30. there is a reason niether of them wanted to join

    cutter, goose and pete get negative criticism here because they go on and on about how they can beat joey or pat. when its time to step up they run and hide doing contests like this one. if they had any skill they would be in the ifoce. atleast they are smart enough to stay out so they can still be legends in there own minds thats the one good thing you can say about them

    I am sure that you are all underestimating Goose’s ability. Maybe some of these people come on here and brag and become legends in their own minds, but i have never seen Gilbert on here (or Youtube). My opinion is different than most I guess. Would Dale win? Dale is definitely a good eater, but in this field a victory would be hard to ask for. I guess this is why they play the game. I like watching Dale’s victory’s and his stuff that gets press on here, sure he is easy to hate but does do more with his mouth than talk a big game.

    I don’t think they run and hide, they are not allowed to compete with Joey and Pat. Pete and Goose have been neck and neck in previous contests, Kuhns has been coming on very strong lately. Maybe Pete had “burp failure”, at least that is what supposedly happened on his sports science episode. Good job by all though, numbers seemed fairly high maybe very soft and easily downable balls.

    I admitted up front in the results thread that I screwed up that prediction. I blew it.

    No problem Rhonda Evans… I liked your prediction as I think Pete is fast as hell. However by virtue of being stuck in Gilbert’s backyard, I know the man is an eating machine consistenly beating other capable eaters here on a regular basis. Good guy and an awesome eater. If it was indeed hot there maybe that gave Gilbert some comfort as it is always pretty f’n hot here. You do not need to give me any blood. The numbers tell me all the contestants were prepared to eat.
