    Wow, im surprized….
Goose wins by a landslide, and sounds like Pete had a hard time.
Also, in my opinion, seems like The Gentleman has seen better days and has reached his prime..awhile ago…

Well, now THERE is a surprise. I always knew that Gilbert was a good eater, but to beat Furious Pete? And by so much?

If only Gilbert had more of a personality, he would have long ago gotten rid of the nickname “Goose” that he himself hates so much.

I guess that’s why IFOCE doesn’t want him. Sorry, Gilbert, you’re a great eater but you have even less personality than a potato. Joey with his uneven teeth, Bertoletti with his mohawk, Eater X with his face paint, Conti with his magic gloves in which he hides food, Shoudt, the vegetarian, Boone the “eternal World Champion”, even if he loses all the time, and so on. They all have personalities in their own way. Tom Gilbert has NO personality at all.

Reminds me of when Jim Courier in tennis was world number one. No one was interested. Another potato head.

Actually it was crazy hot out there and Pete had been doing stuff all weekend eating and filming video doing challeneges around chicago and Khun did a 10lb meatball sub the night before and a hot dog contest the night before that. Everyone did great today, but the heat was horrible. Furious Pete did good and Khun did great also. But Goose killed it, he was a mad man.

As a person who boldly makes bold predictions, I have to face the music when I’m wrong, and I was here in a BIG way. I thought Pete would absolutely smoke everybody; Pete, instead, was on the receiving end of that thrashing.

Tom didn’t just win, the man made a statement. Congratulations to him, and Killer Kuhns smoked averybody else.

I hope Pete does a bit better when he faces Koby in the near future. Right now it’s … uh … not looking too good for the “young ‘un.”

He might be better served being absent due to “unforseen circumstances.”

Would like to Thank all of the Competitors that came out to participate in our 6th Annual Meatball Eating Contest.
We would also like to make a few statements regarding our Contest and this Page.

1st -EatFeats is an Awesome Sounding Board and we do enjoy it. But we must state that if you have a comment to make, make it public with your real name and info. Don’t hide behind your wife’s Skirt and make unfounded comments that only help to support your own delusional self perception and lack of self esteem. Making personal attacks on others anonymously is childish.
2nd – We only REJECTED 1 Eaters Application. We do not want known Cheaters in OUR Contest!!! Enough said on that!!!!
3rd -We had the Best Group of Eaters since the inception of our Contest, these eaters understand that the Contest is not about themselves first, but about the Host & their Charity! Many of the Eaters came back to Bartos and enjoyed each others stories and fellowship. Our Customers loved meeting these individuals and hearing of their Expolits.
4th -Just would like to thank all of our Sponsors, The Eaters, The St Christopher’s Fiesta and of course our Customers!!!

Lastly EAT MORE MEATBALLS!! The Bartolini Brothers.

Bartolini Brothers and Restaurant, that is an overall awesome statement. Delighted to see it and to see also what a great contest can be run by people and not with MLE. Your first point is perfectly stated. Unfortunately, sometimes on here someone does the same thing but attaches their name. Personal unfounded attacks on others, ridiculous negative comments have no place in the public arena and only detract, cause nothing but ill will. This is the fault of the posters, not of this website.

Your statement is one of the best ever. Definitely going to eat more meatballs.

The Bartolini Brothers, their restaurant, and all the competitors were awesome yesterday. I do not think I have ever had a better time. Bob “Killer” Kuhns, Goose Gilbert and Gentelman Joe were awesome to hang out with, and the Bartolini Brothers really know how to host a contest. I cannot wait till next year.

Tom is a top ten IFOCE eater he would destory Juliet, stoney,Erik,Monson and Brown everytime without breaking a sweat. The sad part is they all know this and they are glad he is not there.

No one from this list would have touched his record not even Pat or Joey forget about Sonya!

We really don’t know who would finish ahead of whom. Tom may have wiped up the floor with MLE’s best. But since I’m for the underdog in these situations, I’d have to put my money on Joey, Pat, or Sonya, and even that Kobayashi guy.

It’s always funny to see history repeat itself. Once again a victory in some local eating contest with a bunch of second tier eaters brings out cheap talking Scot Bickel types such as this Not so cool guy. I do have to hand it to Furious “Pete” though, eventually he did have to go up against an MLE caliber quality eater and got his butt kicked. Funny thing though, ever since then Pete and his friends no longer talk about how Pete could beat the top five MLE eaters. So, like the sun rising every morning here comes a new batch of speculating could-of, would-of people like Not so cool who really have no clue what they are talking about. Maybe someday Tom Gilbert will have the guts to go against elite MLE eaters like Joey, Pat, Tim, Sonya and Bob and try to eat at least 39 hot dogs at Coney or do another MLE event. But, I suspect it will result in the same outcome that El Wingador and his all talk buddies embarrassingly discovered at Nathan’s several years ago. The eat goes on.

If Goose ever wanted to he could pull a 5 ton block of Steel with his teeth. If Goose ever wanted to he could slow down the rotation of the earth using only his mind and actually stop time. If Goose ever eats dogs on the 4th I expect him to put down 60 easily, then suddenly pigs will fly from his sacred ass revealing to all that he is the great god Masticor and have giant statues of stone be erected in his honor.

  30. Nathan in Cali said

    July 18, 2011 @ 3:45 pm

Gilbert is a good eater. However he would most likely be a around 8-15 in the IFOCE based on numbers alone… He ate 29.5 Nathan’s HDB’s last year at the Derby in Mission Viejo, CA in 12 minutes (The Derby used Nathan Dogs last year, but I’m not sutre if they were skinless or not)… He also didn’t win to far ahead of Torres and Excell in a burger contest in San Diego last year. So while he’s good, I wouldn’t put him in front of the IFOCE’s top 5.

    July 18, 2011 @ 3:59 pm

I agree Pro Log. Goose is an excellent eater. He had a victory over Pete, who is, overall, a better eater than Tom (look at head-to-head events).

At his age, experience level, you don’t just draw a line and say from this day on he goes from excellent to elite, MLE Top 5-level material. That’s just one, a single, event!

Frankly, I think young Matt Stonie would put a hurtin’ on Tom in most competitions.

    1) We would invite all of the contestants from this years contest back. They where all very professional and accomadating to us and our customers! The Contest was Clean and Enjoyable.
    2) We never said who we rejected and who the know CHEATER is!!!! But if the BOOT fits so be it!!!
    3) We felt it was time to Sanction Our own Event to Get a Better Caliber of Eaters in OUR Contest! We had 4 of the last 5 Meatball Eating Champions back to defend their titles this year.
    4) We appreciate everyones comments , but we still understand and so should all of you that alot of these Eaters need to grow up and get in touch with thier own Inadequacies and stop degrading the others.
    5) We find it amazing how so many can speculate on a Contest when they where not present to observe the reality!!!

Lastly, how do you Boycott an Event that you where already barred from competing in!?!?!?!?! And we feel that our Asses (?) are nto Actually Fat but Well Rounded!!!

Thank you for your time & Support,
    The Bartolini Brothers!!!

    Matt,

For what it’s worth, you’re making the right decision staying with MLE, and all your points are very valid.

You have uncommon CE talent, and will improve more, eating with the best eaters on the planet, overall, than you would restaurant-hopping as an independent. Also, there’s just something about being ranked, especially in the top 10, with the only true recognized CE organization in the world. You are headed for the top 5; mark my words.

Furthermore, because of your talent, you stand a great chance to earn far more in MLE than you would as an independent. (This is not true for 90% of MLE eaters.) You’ll also get more press and your accomplishments will have more credibility and respect.

Matt, this is funny and I just want to share it.

After the women’s contest I stopped watching the TV for a moment to go to another room, and when I returned you had just been introduced, but I didn’t hear the introductions.

As I saw you from the back, I said to myself, “Wow, that’s neat to let Sonya on stage with the guys.” Then you turned around and I felt stupid.

    🙁 🙂

    hhaha, thanks rhonda XD
In the back room everyone was tellin me i shoulve just walked out with the women, and made alot more cash… i get alot of it =]
But yeah, i realize that my situation is probably different then mosts in the leauge in that im already making some money from these trip. Right now im just hoping to get off even at least and have fun, do a good amount of contests, but not to many. I wanna be able to focus on certian ones and really perform well…
Now that i think about it its kinda like jumping into the mainstream/popular music scene… you seem to lose alot of your genuine self in it, but at the same is kinda what everone strives for LOL

The Bartolini Brothers for one. You are not banned. And indians will boycott you place 24/7 365 days a year. You need to grow up the way you talk to the World champion Dale Boone. You little contest is now over and by no way was it Sanction. That can only be done by real leagues
which are real companies. You are so misled that now you got mud on your face. To own a place and get on here to talk bad about others show your will be closing your doors in no time.

Wish I didn’t have to say this…but Eric “The Herald” Durst is Brad “The Lunatic” Sciullo. Uh oh did I say this?

If he didn’t start bragging that he was going to kick everyones ass at Meatballs then I wouldn’t say this. He treats his body like shit and his thoughts on training are just dangerous…I just think its funny that an IFOCE eater has to cover up to be in an AICE contest…

I don’t think I’m ‘the best’ in the world….I know I’m good, but I don’t train for these comps. I enjoy the travelling, meeting new people and just having fun. I won’t bash the next person beside me, in fact only encourage them on…I’d be happy to compete with top IFOCE guys…not because I have a chance with them but because it would be a fun competition!
