Thanks guys haha, Im really glad i decided to sign up for this one, the whole contest was great fun.
Glad to meet up with Gordon, Nate, and Bam for the first time, cant wait to meet up with them alone the circut later

BTW, it think there was a miscount of my Gyros, They put what they expecet people to eat in front of them, Joey/Pat had 20, Nat and gordon 15, and me and Adrian 10, so they were having a hard time getting gyros to me at least, i almost had to wait but the like threw some gyros at me right at the last moment and i cramed 1 or 2 in, so i think i had 16, not 17, but im not completely sure

Joey has 2 first place finishes in about 24 hours. Pat had 2 second place finishes in that same time. Is there something special about those potatoes that they go right through the system? Anyway that is one hell of a weekend for those 2, traveling halfway across the country as well.

Two wins for Joey in a 24 hour span (true, right?). I have to ask, OJ … how many other times in MLE history has that been done? (Or two wins in two days if we aren’t sure about specific times of events.)

Kobayashi won 5 contests in 3 days to win the 2005 US Open of Competitive Eating, a tournament with 32 competitors.

That’s right. Forgot about the US Open. Is Joey’s feat the first for contests in separate locations though?

Not the same thing. The US Open consisted of the same competitors competing in a tournament so all eaters that advance were kind of at the same level of fatigue. Kind of like the different elimination stages of wing bowl etc.

The Salt Potatoes and Gyros were two guys going against independent sets of rested competitors located a thousand miles away. That could have been a busy bathroom on the airplane.

In the big picture i am not sure of the significance of these back to back beatdowns by #1 and #2. But i am certain that they cannot be compared to kobayashi competing against others with the same amount of rest. Just sayin. maybe OJ is not trying to compare it but in the database shows up 5 contests in 3 days, so technically a busier weekend.

I think usa open was a different thing to

now we are on vegas anyone have the results of the vagas qualifer?
