    I would have easily came in 3rd with a more impressive total. They use dill vinegar B&G type pickles which are somewhat easier to digest than the sour garlic they use at the Carnegie deli. Just ask Ed Jarvis and Joe Larue who in my opinion are the real pickle camps. Take nothing away from pat and bob who would have smoked me easily no matter what kind of pickles they used

    You should have came out, compared to last years totals after 1st none of us would have placed in the money. Even Bob’s numbers wouldn’t have gotten him some mula. The 6 that placed were the 6 that competed and that was it. The casino didn’t do a very good job promoting te event, half the staff didn’t even know it was going on. Sam did a great job gathering a crowd for the contest. Congrats to everyone that competed especially Steve Piccolo!

    I would enjoy going up against Pat or anyone. Now that I know the finer points of pickles I’m sure I could beat whoever would challenge. Unfortunately it will never happen.

    Hey Brian you were allowed to come out and compete, nothing stopped you. It was a fun event but it could have been a little better had the crowd been bigger. Oh well, Congrats to everyone and great job to the newcomer in his pickle debut!

    Sean the main reason i did not come out to Fla is because of the sponsor. I dont want to get into the ramifications because it will just bring on the haters so lets just leave it at that. The fans that visit my site on a daily basis recall that i had some conflicts with them. I dont compete in events that have the name Isle of Capri attached to it anymore.

    In visiting B. Seiken’s site recently he regards Bertoletti and j. Lee as the best male and female eaters. Interesting to say so. If he is taking bets I am up for some action.

    Congratulations Pat. You haven’t lost a step the last several years.

    Bob probably figured since he didn’t have a chance for first, he’d just coast and eat enough to garner second place money.

    @Brian, I forgot about the isle casino thing, too bad it would have been more fun to have more eaters there. @Phil I had heard that tickets to South Florida were crazy priced but I did offer rides from the airport and I even had two extra rooms at my apt if anyone needed them!! Oh well maybe next year if they decide to do it, which I really cant see as its been two terriable turnouts (as far as crowd goes).
