Where is Pat from Moonichie? Now that he’s independent he has the ability to overtake the morally ambiguos Menchetti & crush these small time dickwads & rise to the top & show them what a professional eater can do.I know he can & will beat all of them.Go Pat!!!

Joe Larue failed miserably in the IFOCE pumpkin pie contest in 2004 . Why should we think he will do any better 7yr later and seven years older

Joe Larue is a much improved eater from 2004 , I saw him beat the field in Milwaukee at the food court and that includes him stopping momentarily in the contest to alert the Ems Techs that I was chocking and still won. He can go against anyone without fearing the competition.

What I’m about to say might shock everyone but I actually prefer a bb hate comment from gavonne over “got it aka 936. That fucker is just way too creepy for me . I’m actually thinking of investing in a bodyguard because he might try and hunt me down

Watching Eric Dahl eat this year has kinda been like watching a two year colt whose owner thinks just might be a Derby contender. He has followed a sensible path moving up the competitive eating ladder. And now to finds himself in his biggest test to date against a deep field of accomplished eaters.

I am willing to believe that he surprised Gentleman Joe this summer when he travelled to Minnesota for a pizza contest – the Gentleman could hardly have imagined he would find someone in Minnesota who could actually eat.

But he won’t be surprising Joe this time. And there should be no surprising anybody else. The kid can eat. And he is only getting better. As the immortal Atlas just found out down in Texas, it is a helluva lot more fun to eat across the table from the Silo than it is down the table from him.

Good luck to all. Wish I could be there to watch.

Wow…. He beat Santel by a sandwich and everyone is impressed. Santel is just a jacked up version of Adam Richman. Santel is a good challenge eater but a speed eater he is not. Silo would be an average top 30 eater in the IFOCE.

stop dreaming needs to stop deaming.Santel is way better than his latest performance.Look at his history .Plus Randy uses his real name when posting.

I got 5 bucks that says Eric wins again, now that he is leaving Cheese town, everybody get ready for a real beast to start taking everyone’s lunch money, and he beat Santel by 1.5 sandwiches in 6 minutes and was asked to back off the last minute.

First of all, in response to “Formerly just a Minnesota Fan”, yes I do believe that Eric surprised Gentlemen Joe in Minnesota. If Gentlemen Joe would have known about Eric, I am sure that he may not have made the trip. Joe is a speed eater, and that contest was 12 minutes. Eric is a machine, and can eat A LOT. Plus, he just started in February. Surprised or not, Eric beat him by 6-7 slices I think, so that speaks for itself. I liked the “immortal Atlas” reference, but Atlas was just a titan. Zeus was a god, lol. I already knew him from the 2 pizza challenges up north.

I have not watched the Dickey’s contest. I either lost by a half sandwich or 1.5 sandwiches. That contest was so terribly run that it was not funny. Dickeys flew 6 people in and spent thousands of $$, and about 20 people watched, mostly employees. The only media person there was there to watch me because of all the challenges I did that he reported on. Please note that was my 6th food event of the weekend, making it a 33lb trip haha. Is that an excuse? No. I don’t really care too much about competitive eating. lol but please don’t refer to me as a jacked up version of Adam Richman… don’t get me started on him or that show!! I did the contest for the free trip to Dallas so that I can do challenges. There are now 2 challenges down there named “The RandySantel.com Challenge”, after my website that will be live in 3 weeks:) I did a 7.25lb deli sandwich challenge and got $421 donated to Meals on Wheels down there. I also did 2 other big challenges.

Eric Dahl is a machine, and is only getting better. Outside of Chicago (Pat), the midwest eating circuit consists of Eric & I haha (Juan just moved to Vegas). Its a lot different than California & the Northeast. Plus businesses around here are too cheap to put up big prizes. Eric is going to continue getting better. I am excited to see where he is at in a year. As for this contest, I will add $95 to Dax’s bet to make it an even $100. Its an 8 minute contest, and Eric does not have a slow down button… Good luck to Joe Larue too!!

Randy the fact that you even responded back to an anonymous poster shows that you are naive when it comes to comments on blogs. Who cares if Eric Dahl is a machine who cares about challenges period! Its how you conduct yourself at the table as far as numbers and so far you have decided to stay away except for pumpkin pie. Remember MLE gave you and everyone else the inspiration to do these challenges . If not for them nobody would even think of inventing competitive eating or challenges
