I came here to find out results, not to read potty mouth comments or drivel. Guess this is par for the course here, it’s a democracy. Too bad the un-tasty get a lot of play. Will check back to get results and be rewarded sooner than other places though.

“I realize that my reviews of Bens Chili contest 2011 were not the greatest but let me
make it perfectly clear that i was in no way slamming the sponsor. They were kind hearted gracious and the type of
people you dont mind doing business with. It was the chilli served at the event that gave off the no so pleasant gastric
issues.. Like anything else , if something is left to sit under the sun for an extensive period of time , intestinal issues
will soon set in. It can easily go from gourmet to Hormel in a matter of minutes if you know what i mean. Without going
into detail just ask some of the contestants who competed last year but decided to pass on the event in 2012. Andrew
Kossuth who is not even a ranked member was sent a personal email asking if he wanted to compete. What kind of
message does that send? After describing in detail the mess i made in the Carmines toilet after the contest , i doubt very
much if a personal invite would be sent my way. I bet if you took a gallon of that stuff home and reheated it in proper
fashion it would taste mighty yummy. Exit Edible, Subich BB Kossuth , Enter Badlands, Larell Marie and a few other
newbies to DC. Anxious to hear what they have to say. Then again with Badlands its always “all good” even if its “all bad”

Boy ill bet Seiken is glad he did not show up for this contest. Not only would he not get a handshake from eater x but he would be forced to post the winner of the contest whom he hates with a passion. Good decision BB

Wow that is some fantastic tell it like it is commentary from BB. What a shame that the haters never print the good stuff Seiken posts. If you read on he has nothing but nice things to say about Jamie Mcdonald. But then again the haters only dwell on the negative and not the positive .

The contest this year was 10 minutes which explains why the totals were higher than last year. That really sucks because great eaters like Subich Edible and Seiken were not there to get another shot at putting up higher totals than last year

Great contest, chili was just as good as last year if not better. The Ali’s were gracious and accomidating as all ways. Tough field, today X ate his ass off and looked like a man possessed after Joey took a title from him last week. Bob was on my right and ate well too, obviously. Bill was on my left and seemed to have a stong showing. Unfortunatly I dont know where I fell in the totals but I think 6th about 1/2 a bowl behind Juliet who ate strong and clean. I’m looking forward to next year, 3rd time is hopefully a charm, or at least a top 5.

If the bowls were not weighed, some of the eaters that were out of the money will lie about their totals just so they look good for the rankings or not to look bad in front of their peers. It happened last year and of course this year . Top 4 that matter in the end . Finishing 7 or 8th won’t score brownie points with the IFOCE

Thanks for the reasonable report. If you skip the totally psycho nonsense here, we probably wouldn’t have any idea about how the contest went. Go get ’em next year – you’re getting better and better!

RAKE AND HERALD IS ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING. Way to go writers, editors, and all of the delightful self-mocking names, comedy central with facts. Meshes seamlessly with eatfeats. Very cool including excellent video from last year’s contest via sponsor, no shaky camera, a fine and effective presentation.
