Shouldn’t the judges be at eye level with the competitors, instead of way below them? This way, they could more easily see what was left on the plate.
And shouldn’t the card turners behind the eaters turn the number only when the judge indicates that an HDB has been eaten, perhaps by raising a hand, like the NBA officials do for a three-point shot attempt?

Why would Eater X drive four hours to Boston and four hours back to watch a qualifier? He didn’t even care about his own qualifier, so I doubt he cares about somebody else’s.

My apologies. I had forgotten Janus had won a qualifier. He plays stupid games–withdrawing so CLC could win, then reentering when Dud Light showed up unexpectedly–so it is easy for me to get confused by him.

If rumor about Janus retiring is true he must have used the same line to the Sheas that he did to Seiken when Seiken offered to shake his hand at the chilli contest a few yrs ago in DC “whats the point “? I assume that retirement has something to do with boredom or not winning titles. Then again what else does he have to do? Does he still work in a pizza place? The excitement in that arena certainly does not compare to comp eating
