Defending champion Joey Chestnut, Carmen Cincotti, Geoff Esper, Miki Sudo, Gideon Oji, Darron Breeden and Eric "Badlands" Booker are expected to compete in the World Chili Eating Championship in Orlando on Saturday.

    This is why prize money continues to be crap for all of these contests. It’s win or bust. If you can get all of the top eaters and only offer $3k why offer more? Appreciate you want to compete but sometimes less is more. You’re worth more than you think.

    a majority of these eaters are probably being given cash money to be at this event. it seems crazy that all of these guys would travel so far for so little prize money

    The only real prize money is is in poker tournaments , There is no money in competitive eating except for Chestnut Lesco Miki anda few others. Everyone else is wasting their time but then again they have no life besides this
