There appears to be some type of relationship between Nathan’s / Smithfield and NASCAR, whose venues used to be a common stop on the Nathan’s qualifier circuit. Smithfield has also held competitive eating events at NASCAR races for non-hot dog products.

Smithfield is owned by the Chinese. Nathan’s is owned by the Chinese. Time for a sponsor that’s American ???????? owned to retake the Fourth of July with American owned hot dogs ????. Bottom line we need to boycott Chinese products especially celebrating our Nations birthday. No excuses please t

Nathan’s restaurants and brands are American owned. Smithfield, the manufacturer for their hot dogs, is owned by the Chinese.
