…Rigged for Conti to make it to Coney. Last time he ate 20 hot dogs or more was back in 2016 I think. Someone on stage said his spot at the table was a mess full of debris after the contest. If he didn’t get more than 20 yesterday, then the Joey P. guy that ate 20 HDBs in Kissimmee at the first qualifier would have made it to Coney as the final wild card spot, and we all know that doesn’t make an exciting story for MLE…
Of course, this is all just speculation, but the results yesterday seem a little suspect based on what I’ve seen and heard. Really need all qualifier contests filmed up close with pictures or video of the “scraps” afterwards to provide some trust in the reported numbers.

Speculation is not the truth. Most things reported here are speculation. Just cannot leave jealousy out of the equation.

Here is the 2010 Deadspin post about Conti’s shenanigans in the 2010 Escondido, CA Nathan’s qualifier. He received no penalty and was allowed to compete in the Nathan’s finals

wow…that is crazy, thx for sharing OJ. I never saw or heard about this before. Pretty blatant cheating after time was up, even though the video is low quality, you can still see what is going on.
@12:44, no-one will believe that you were there and take your word that it was a clean contest if you post anonymously. For all we know, you are one of the Shea’s or work for MLE, and your comment is to try to assure people that it was “fair”. I have nothing to gain from pointing out what others said his spot looked like after time was called. And I haven’t seen video of the contest at all (just a clip during the middle of Oji eating), so we can’t prove it yet. Either way, why should we take your word that it was clean…and let’s not rule out the chance that @12:44 comment came from Conti himself.

Debris is real issue in MLE. It just shouldn’t even happen. That said, until they start showing people’s spaces afterwards it doesn’t matter. As an example the Florida corn contest is a joke. Most of that corn ends up on the floor.

Why is Conti mug still in these 30 for 30 documentaries on competitive eating. What has he ever done for the sport except cheat
