Nick Wehry announces that he will be competing in Saturday's strawberry shortcake eating contest in Mattituck, NY along with Geoff Esper, Miki Sudo and Badlands Booker. If Joey Chestnut misses this contest, he will be coming into Nathan's Famous contest on July 4 with just two victories in nine contests over the past 18 months.

That does not speak well for Joey. His one ace in the hole is hotdogs. He must be training only for those. Maybe he is just not as good as he used to be.

Don’t read too much into this folks–Joey always shows up on 7/4, except for when Stonie caught him at the perfect time. If he ever feels threatened to lose again, I think he’ll retire before having to walk away with 2nd place. Anybody that things he isn’t gearing up for Coney like he always does is just silly.
Moh motion will be there if there’s a greyhound bus station nearby. I’m sure he’ll hang out for half a day after the contest and eat all the leftover food too. Because of his “hyperthyroidism”… Can we see a doctor’s note, please?? 🙂

Yeah but does moh realize there’s no amateur division for this contest? Hey OJ do a piece on how he entered the Tom’s donuts amateur contest the day after doing an MLE contest, and hyped up on his social media he was going up against molly Dan and and other pros.
