2023 Selsey, England Nathan’s qualifier

update Official results
1 Max Stanford 34
2 Radim Dvoracek 21.5
3T Ronnie Hartman 14.5
3T John Dawes 14.5

1 Rhea Jarvis 4

If accurate, Max Stanford’s total of 34 would break the UK record of 32 set by Beard Meats Food in 2019, but there might have been a miscount.

update Ronnie Hartman announced he was third with 14.5 hot dogs, Max Stanford was the male winner, and Radim Dvoracek was the runner up.

MLE is billing today’s contest in Selsey, England at Seal Bay Resort as the first British Nathan’s qualifier, but there was an qualifier in Birmingham, England in 2005 using pork pies instead of hot dogs.

The competition won by Rob Burns was the subject of a documentary, “The Big Eat”, which can be viewed on youtube.

What were the TRUE totals eaten at this contest? A bunch of twitter back and forth suggests that 34 reported for Max Stanford is not correct. If Max knew that he actually didn’t eat 34 HDBs, why would he let them announce that total when they counted up plates at the end?

Seems like he won the contest easily, so what’s the point of inflating the total # eaten? I know it sounds better as a headline for MLE to have a higher winning amount, but c’mon blokes! Will Max release the full video that would show how many he actually ate in the 10 minutes?? He already confirmed on the news interview the “34” total that he ate when the news lady asked him.

Imagine hyping your social media for months, and traveling overseas spending thousands to eat 14.5 HDB.

@4:53 imagine giving enough of a shit about other people’s social media that you go into an anonymous site and bash them for only eating 14.5 hot dogs. Considering this is likely 1 of 2 people that are notorious people bashers it’s pretty sad.

@ 4:53…. don’t be stupid… the traveling and seeing the world is why you spend the money .. RH made himself lifelong memories and experiences that are worth WAY MORE, the the little bit of money he spent….

Ronnie should just have fun if he still wants to be a Comp Eater. Just leave MLE, and do some local contests, make a few bucks maybe… Or if he stays in MLE, don’t even try to be among the top / win money. Just play the part that Crazy Legs has–be more of a figurehead to MLE, helping to promote the brand and provide great interview sound-bites (sound-Bytes?) versus trying to actually be a top eater.

@6:25 PM – wouldn’t be the first time that an eater knowingly increased their totals by a plate. But to say you ate two more? That’s blatant cheating.
I guess we’ll know when he comes here for the finals.

Takes some kind of anonymous lowlife to actually talk crap about Darron Breeden, or his wife lol

I wonder when Max will post his video showing him winning this contest with a total of 34 hot dogs???
