5 eating contests on Emeril Live

I was expecting only one eating contest at the end of tonight’s episode of Emeril Live, but there were five. Bob Shoudt, Tim Janus and Crazy Legs had a hot sauce eating contest, a po boy sandwich eating contest, a piri piri carne spart competition and a habanero sorbet eating contest. There was also a piri piri carne spart contest for audience members. The episode will reair at 3 am if you want to record it (it will also air at 8pm in the pacific time zone)

    Okay I did a REALLY ghetto recording–we’re talking video of the television here–of three of the competitions and loaded them on youtube.com (legal? What?). I’m sure you’ll have better recordings shortly, but for anyone dying to catch a glimpse, here ya go. I accidentally deleted the piri piri carne spart one, so that’s not on there. Also, not the audience member one, even though Trencher’s gf totally won it.

    Did you see the awesome belt Bob won? That was a ood looking trophy. Nice job guys on the contest I would hate to be you guys a few hours later though.

    Thanks. We filmed in March. It was a lot of fun. The show treated us like Kings! Also the belt is awesome – the kids love it.

    Videotaping the television…that’s great Liz!! Reminds me of the days when I used to make mix tapes of my favorite radio songs by holding a tape recorder up to the speakers of my dad’s stereo and praying that the phone didn’t ring or my little brother didn’t come screaming into the room.

    Who won the fourth one that Liz deleted? Just curious. Liz, thanks so much. Every monday morning should start with an eating contest.

    Does anyone else think Emeril should’ve had one of the Sheas on for extra contest commentary? It was kind of funny hearing him say stuff like “oh boy, they’re really eating now!!” Haha…

    Bob, you’re the MAN! Awesome stuff, all three of you.

    Oh, and Tim, congrats on that sorbet victory.

    Crazy, Bob, Tim,
    That was great watching that on TV! It looked like a lot of fun. I wish I could watch something like that everyday on TV.
    Thanks Liz for taping the show and putting a link to it. I was worried I would never be able to watch it again since I don’t have a vcr or dvr. You’re the greatest.

    Bob won the other one and an awesome red champion belt that Emeril gave him. I thought the commentary was so funny, especially that he kept calling Tim “Timothy” and didn’t acknowledge the mask or nickname.
