Pat from Moonachie vs. 5 “grease truck” sandwiches

HearUsTalk produced a video of Pat “from Moonachie” Philbin attempting to eat five sandwiches from the “grease trucks” on the campus of Rutgers University in under 45 minutes.

update Adam Richman had the following response to Pat’s feat: “Yeah but does he have the dopest TV show on the planet? I’m gonna go with…no.” (via DJnewstyle, who was blocked by Adam Richman)

update #2 Apr 6 11:34 am Craig noted that Adam Richman deleted his response, but it is still in the Google Cache

Pat!!!! I’ve been wanting to do that for years. Awesome job. I think I’d have to go like gangbusters top even have a shot, What do you think the equivalent would be in HDB’s? Do they let you dunk if you want? Congrats!!!!

Hey Steak, despite anonymous’s highly suspect claim, I don’t think any of the top 25 would have much of a problem with it ..I did it in 28 minutes and you have 45 minutes to do it in ..I was eating at a leisurely pace ..it felt like at least 20 HDB’s worth of fullness.

Expect those two jackasses opie and anthony to make fun of pats conquest especially that jerk anthony . I can hear it now. Pat just ate 5 saaaadwiches putting the emphasis on the letter A . I cant stand either of them with a passion but Pat loves them to death.

Speaking of jackasses, looks like Richman deleted that post on twitter.

Give yourself more credit Pat! I always thought the IF ranked you about two spots too low.

    Pat,

Great work man! 5 sandwiches and it didn’t appear you were slowing down from sandwich 1 to number 5, even after you were done it didn’t appear you were in to much discomfort.

how big are the sandwiches in length and how much would you say each weighed?

as a side note (and not to high jack this thread), Richman is proving to be a bigger douche then we all give him credit for, Pat wasn’t calling him out in anyway nor did his tone sound like he was disrespecting Adam.

The thing about O&A , is if the goof on pat was just part of the shctick and they really respected the guy it would be cool but i dont think its an act . They think he is a true moron and treat him like a dog

Anonymous, funny is funny ..I don’t give a shit whether i’m getting laughed “at” or laughed “with” ..comedy is no place for getting offended ..besides, I present myself as a goofball and I get treated like a goofball (on air), that’s called “going with the bit” ..those guy have done things for me behind the scenes that you’ll never know about ..they are “Princes” in my book!

Thanks man, I guess they were about 10″ long and about a pound or so in weight.

..as for the Adam Richman thing, I think he was being overly sensitive about the whole thing ..first, he somewhat insults me. All the guy did was post a link to the video and then when newstyle suggested a web series called “Man vs. Man vs. Food” (doing Adam’s failed challenges), instead of being diplomatic about it, he calls him a “f**king idiot” and block him ..seems a little “touchy” to me!

Like what behind the scenes Pat or is that privy info ? Did they renovate your dump as promised or are they still waitng for the Pat from Moonachie fund raising drive to accumulate a few hundred bucks? Maybe if you let us in what wordly things they have done for you besides making fun of your diabetes, then maybe we could say some good things about them. Until then it is still a mystery case closed

I’m surprised Pat waited this long to do this challenge, it seems like the perfect Moonachie Meal.
    Nice job my funny friend.

    Mr Not-So-Anonymous (@ 2:01),

Your comments say more about you than they do about me or O&A ..you’re a miserable fuck who’s trying to project your misery upon others ..good luck with that! 🙂

    Anonymous (@ 2:55),

I’ve wanted to do it for awhile and DJ Newstyle (fellow O&A fan) offered to video it. That and the fact that alot of the recent contests have been far away ..IMO, a corned beef contest held in other than New York or Boston should be a crime! 😉 ..and I thought I needed a little Pre-Nathan’s warm-up.

Do you know that MLE eaters aren’t allowed to compete in restaurant challenges? Did you have Sheas/Antolini permission?

Pat’s description of “going with the bit” says it all. In person and in his writing he is hardly a goofball but rather quite sharp and with a dry wit. Enjoy your lunches Pat.
