The contest is expected to start at 12:35 eastern. I think this will be the first IFOCE non-qualifier contest on the east coast between Palm Beach and Atlantic City since the funnel cake eating contest at Kings Dominion in Virginia in May 2009.

Brian should have won the recent Nobel peace prize for all his accomplishments at the table. The definition of competitive eating in the websters dictionary says “Beautiful Brian Seiken”. Anyone who hears the word “legend” instantly thinks of Brian every time no matter what, in fact everytime people take a bite of food that picture of him in his bathtub staring at a pickle comes to mind. He is more popular than food itself.

Since most of you flock to this site instead of mine , i was able to obtain some partial totals. Aside from my total, edible and subich which are confirmed , the others are the totals they claim to have consumed. The bowls were not weighed. The emcee walked by each eater checked out the remaining chilli in the bowls and made his determination from that point.
    Brian D 96oz
    Wild Bill 88 oz
    Me 72 oz
    Edible 72oz
    Subich 80oz

MLE final totals of chill contest make little sense. Just post exact amt in oz instead of .5 this and .5 that. How could conit finish in a tie for next to last? Subich was originally credited with 80 oz now it shows he finished in a three way tie with Seiken & Edible? Someone please get the totals right

  27. anonymous said

    October 10, 2011 @ 11:37 am

Subich totals according to subich was 2 5 bpwls of chilli which comes to 80oz with each bowl consisting of 32oz of chilli . Maybe he quoted those totals because he didnt want anyone to know that he failed to finish ahead of Seiken and Maria Edible and that finishing in a tie with the both of them might tarnish his high ranking. Cant blame him on that end

  28. beautifulbrian said

    October 10, 2011 @ 12:04 pm

From what i saw Subich looked like he ate a little bit more than me and Edible. I know i ate more than Edible but not by much. I was well into my third bowl when Edible was finishing her 2nd . I literally stopped eating after a few spoons of my third bowl hoping for a belch due to the excess of chilli lodged near my heart which gave Edible a chance to come back and catch me after she was on bowl 2 . She is not a bad eater by any stretch. Slow but decent capacity. I couldnt hang around to ask Juliet how she did because i wanted to get rid of this crap asap

That’s what makes Brian seem like a big jerk, He does slam others and he is a troublemaker, more so than anyone else I know of in all of competitive eating. His need for attention clouds his ability, or his desire, to see that. For anyone who has been befriended by Seiken, it’s just a matter of time before the relationship sours. Look at Goldstein, Male, Janus, Booker, Torres, Miernicki, Conti, Rona, and Sulkin, just to name a few. The thing all the above have in common is they all seem like pretty good people. A logical deduction is that if you’ve had a falling out with Seiken, you’re probably a decent person.

Get a clue Seiken was never in this game to make friends. He competes from time to time gets his contest videos and interviews and then its bye bye . There are no friends in competitive eating . Get a clue stop trying to analize. You seem to thrive on anything that relates to me on a negative basis. You seem to know more about me than anyone else. The sad part is that you sound as though you have had a formal education only to waste it on one person in your life. You screw up by going anonymous and with that said , youre clouded theory about me means jack shit. Get this through the thick skull of yours. Like the gentleman before stated, i never became a competitive eater/journalist for the social aspect of it. If one or two or maybe three want to get close to me i would never turn them away. I always embrace fans or friends but if for some reason they cant see it my way then find another way. The nature of my business or CE in general is somewhat cut throat just like this website. Eatfeats might appear ok for awhile then out the blue stabs you right in the heart. As for the names mentioned some if not all have serioous issues or personality flaws in which i picked up either early in the friendship or later on. Doesnt matter when or how i detected it but i detected it. Without mentioning names other eaters or friends of eaters alerted me regarding a pattern with each individual and i hate to admit they were 100 % correct. Some i gave lots of rope until they hung themselves and thats when i decided to separate myself from each and every one of those names. . If you think im a backstabber , one of the names you just mentioned had so much negative shit to say about other comp eaters i swear to you i could write a book. If i was to publish some of the emails and mind you some went as far as using the “N” word so many times it would make your head spin, you would sing a different tune when evaluating these so called darlings of the sport. When i drop someone its for a damn good reason or culmination of reasons. Get a clue or shall i say get a life, you are one piece of shit worse than someone that uses foul language or makes threats. I actually prefer Gavonne over you because in my estimation you are one of the worst type human beings on this planet. One thing i hate is a sneak especially a sneak that refuse to attach a name to their comments. Until you are man or woman enough to identify yourself you are nothing but a troublemaker. You will never ever stop ragging on me .I am your life and always will be .

I can say this about BB. Since I first started following BB.com, for over 6 years running, central to Brian’s theme of coverage has always been an emphasis on others, examining their contributions to or their potential in competitive eating, especially lesser-known, undiscovered eaters.

BB does that of his own volition, without compensation, except for desiring a “thank you,” every now and then, and I don’t know of a single person in this world, or the one above, who likes to be taken for granted.

So in light of my belief that every person has at least a kernal of good in him or her, BB is FAR, FAR from being near the back of that line.

If you need so much attention, go do something that somebody really cares about. Joey, Pat, Tim, Sonya, Juliet, Eric, etc, don’t need to use this site be asshats. More importantly stop taking a weekly consensus report on how many competitive eaters seiken has defriended over the last six months. Its pointless nonsense

  55. Rhonda Evans said (Registered March 6, 2008)

    October 13, 2011 @ 9:43 am

I actually feel embarrassed FOR OJ, who puts so much work into this site, as well as the entire “sport” of CE, when I think of sponsors, potential sponsors, zestful, loyal fans (like myself), and would-be fans who visit this site, only to find childish nonsense from so many anonymous posters.
The vast majority of these negative comments are from people in one or both of two categories:

    1. People who think CE (or eatfeats itself) is a joke and either wish to see it go away and/or want to inflict damage. (Most people who consistently post negative comments fit here.)

    2. Jealous underachievers who want to drag down more successful eaters, as misery loves company.

However, the ironic thing is that 90% or more of all of these negative comments come from only about 10% (or less) of this site’s visitors.

People shouldn’t have to wade through crap to address thread topics.

I don’t blame OJ for what other people post, but I do think requiring people to register and have an account will more than halve the number of negative comments. When you don’t do that you’re, in effect, inviting the dregs of society to, in essence, vandalize both this blog and CE itself, as eatfeats is well known throughout the CE world.

Its none of his or her fxxxxx biz. I dont know this asshole and he wont post his or her identity so why should anyone listen to a fool that only comes to life when i post some sort of rant? I always liked this site in the past until he allowed this stupid bullshit to take center stage over comp eating. How can he gain any respect whatsoever if he permits disturbed individuals like that nut that makes 6th grade death threats towards me. I mean reallly think of how childlike and moronic it sounds “Really: 10:01pm really hit in on the head by putting everything into perspective by pointing out how foolish they sound. 57. beautifulbrian said

One more thing. Nobody is kicking anyone ass. I think its quite obvious that if anyone went so far as to tap or slightly oush another individual in the sport sparks would fly and someone would get seriously hurt. I am not just speaking for myself but for anyone in general. The majority of comp eaters are big guys in height as well as weight and most are bigger than i am so with that said i would be a fool to throw the first punch thinking i would walk away unscathed. If someone wants to make dumbass threats towards me on the internet go knock yourself out. You sound like a fxxx moron. You saw what transpired in Coney Island . It was all about getting his jollies on video and i made the stupid mistake of responding back which basically set me up to look like an ass. When people come down on me on this site , it just gives disturbed individuals like the one i mentioned a chance to refuel. Rhonda the negative comments are nothing new.
