    Yes it is disgusting in a public forum to be dissing Ronnie and all vets and to say that about the Sheas as well. Save your stupid thoughts and express them to friends but stay off this board for the day. Give us a break. When you are running the country or MLE you might have a say. Until then keep your ignorance to yourself. Happy 4th everyone, even those with whom I disagree as long as the disagreement is respectful. I do not see a lot of evidence of respect in the many people who make comments here. There is of course some which is what keeps me coming back, that and OJ’s content.

    This brings back memories of the Nathans qualifier at the Meadowlands in 2000. Mike Devito wins but gives his spot to Ed Krachie who ended up eating a measly 14 dogs and buns at the far end of the table. Only difference being that back then there was no blog to bitch about it except to email the Shea’s which fell on deaf ears

    Congratulations again to Ronnie Hartman and to MLE for honoring on July 4th all those who serve for us. Ronnie Hartman represented all men and women who serve in the armed forces and their families and friends whose personal sacrifices are hard choices they have made. Everyone living in the US owes them a huge debt of gratitude. They are not civil servants like postmen though they are government employees. Except for possible dogs and rain and snow, postal carriers and those who work in post offices are not in danger. Long term workers have incredibly generous pensions. Let’s all get together and celebrate the good things in this country and focus on them. Competitive eating is fun, entertainment, and has a big following. Let’s make the comments reflect that.
