Let Joey compete by himself and nix having another eater qualify there.

I wonder if this is true or just a mixup with this years and last years news releases? That certainly screws with Rich again if it’s true. Maybe he’s just eating as a demonstration and not an actual competitor?

If Joey draws a by, then why would they fly him down to Vegas to compete? He is already qualified for Coney Island unless this is their way of screwing with Rich.

If Joey already qualified why is comming to Vegas? Is Vegas Joeys personal stage? I dont think Rich and El Toro should waste there time.It would also be a waiste of time if Ron Koch is comming back. Whats the sense”

If Joey is comming to Vegas so what. It wont take away the amount I might eat. After not competing for two years, I welcome the competion to force me to push myself even more than I would have…..

I understand that him putting up an eye-popping pre-July 4 total is good PR for the sport, but since he already has a bye into the competition, it’s only right if he competes but his totals don’t count. In other words, the second place finisher is the one who “wins” the qualifier and gains a spot at Coney.

Let Joey form his own league and eat by his damned self.
