The article about the Dallas Nathan’s qualifier says “we’re flying in” two top eaters (Biller & Erb)! Someone picking up the tab on these flights because I’ll go to Dallas if that’s the case.

I’m actually signed up for Dallas as well. And no, they’re not flying me in. I wish! I’m coming in just so I can try to eat one more than Nate, heh heh 🙂

i think maybe thats a typo or something,about them flying them in…im signed up,but i am thinking about pulling out cause im really not ready for hotdogs just yet, at least not putting up any kind of numbers that would be over average.im not sure yet, it would be good experience though. – theres always strawberry shortcake the week before. 🙂

Since when do any eaters other than the top 5 get “flown” anywhere?? Erb (a great guy -don’t take this wrong, Jason ) ate like 14 dogs last year which make about 60 other eaters “top eaters” – I ain’t been flown, bused, piggy-backed, or even given gas money, EVER – How do I start submitting my expense vouchers for the past three years?!?

Wow, just read that voting blogger article. What a jerk off. The dude really needs to get a life. He makes a statement about how no person should eat hot dogs plain, just ask anybody from Chicago. Meanwhile he talks about Pat’s 41 in 10 minutes and must not realize here is someone from Chicago.

Don’t feel too bad. Sometimes the IFOCE doesn’t even “fly in” the previous year’s contest champs to defend their own titles. I’m not saying that’s right/wrong or good/bad. But I do think it has plays at least a small part in the decline in the number of IFOCE events in 2007/2008 versus 2005/2006. There must be something to be said/learned from that.

I am with you, U.S. this guy has got some issues to work out before publishing his ramblings to the general public. What is he talking about “yet condemn porn starlets who possess the very same skills?” And an article about competitive eating doesn’t need so many words like anus (x2), foreskin, penises (x2) and the over used mentions of 9/11.

If the IFOCE holds a contest and the only people who learn the results are the 20 who read eatfeats daily, and after that contest they only compensate the top 3 finishers by way of prize money, while AICE has a contest where the same 20 people reading eatfeats learn the results, and after the contest they compensate the top 3 finishers by way of prize money along with compensating many eaters with money towards travel, rooms, etc. which eaters will complain less about money and have just as good of a time?

Don’t worry, no hard feelings. I figure my 14 hdb in 12 min last year should put me on track for about 11.5 hdb in 10 min this year. At least you think I’m a great guy, thats all that really matters. And no, I’m not getting anything paid for……but I guess it couldn’t hurt to send your receipts to IFOCE headquarters, only cost $0.42, that’s nothing compared to airfare.
