How was mo able to compete in this event? This is not a MLE contest does he have a contact with them?

The Slopper event had only 7 eaters so likely Mo was offered a spot at the table. Probably wait-listed and then got confirmed a few days before the event. Signed eaters would have preference and then based on remaining spots anyone that has completed in the past or would put up decent numbers is then offered a spot. Ironically looks like the last MLE event Mo completed in before the 2024 edition of Sloppers was the 2023 edition of Sloppers. Makes sense not to sign if a good eater can find events that pop up that are not too far to get too and have a decent prize of at least a few hundred dollars

Who knows about Mo, but I would love it if all top MLE eaters entered larger independent contests as a test. They already lost Joey. What are they going to do… fire them? They do not have many, and those left would not all be willing to travel. (if sponsors would even still be interested)
I believe the top eaters have far more leverage than they realize.

Molly lives in Maryland. Why would he attempt to travel to this one?
