Joey Chestnut has apparently reconciled with Major League Eating. He appeared on WISH and Fox59 this morning to promote Saturday's St. Elmo shrimp cocktail eating contest in Indianapolis. If Joey competes, it would be his first MLE contest since May. Miki Sudo and Nick Wehry are also expected to compete. update Joey confirmed he will compete on the Fox 59 morning news. Geoff Esper and Pat Bertoletti are also expected to compete. update On the Bob & Tom Show, Joey says says he has yet to reconcile with Nathan's Famous and is not sure if he will compete to regain his title on July 4. He also hinted at a possible Unfinished Beef II matchup vs. Takeru Kobayashi in Tokyo.

Did Joey actually do any commercials for the Impossible brand? I know they were mentioned at his events, but have not seen any ads.

This was all a work so his buddy Pat Bertoletti could win a Cony Island Hot Dog Championship . Hopefully Kobayashi can reconcile as well .

In all honesty, Joey can compete for 3 more decades and still win every hot dog eating event ..

I Dont Think the issue was with MLE for Joey i think it was Just the Nathans company. They didnt want him repping another hot dog brand while winning their event

Dan Kennedy makes a good point. However, MLE branded Joey. It still is not right for him to rep another hotdog no matter whether plant based or not.

@12:35 . None of us will ever win Cony Island. Joey Chestnut is the greatest competitive eater ever . Joey is good friends with Pat Bertoleti and Pat’s dream was to win Cony Island. So Joey let one of his best friends dreams come true . It pays to have friends in high places in this world.
