I tried to watch video #2. It skipped like Arnie on E. Unwatchable.

At least there is some outlet (occasionally) to view some of these eating events.

I believe the “technical difficulties” aice is having, are that they can’t figure out how to use the computer at the local library, after there computer crashed & Wal-mart turned them down for credit, so they can’t afford a new $299. netbook.

Or the power, internet, et al. was shut off.

Not very nice of you to speak of an organization/man who has done so much for you.
Or shall I say not very gentlemanly.

I admit it was a bit harsh, but I did tone it down.

He didn’t do anything for me.

As he might say ‘I did it for the organization’.

What, would you say he did for me aicenonymous?!.

I’ll tell what he did against me. Screwed me over on numerous occasions, shorted me on sponsorship, asked way to little for events ex) nearly every event aice has ever done, but in particular RI against Japan. I took that because I knew if we even lost close that would end up in going to Japan.
Kept me from entering events that I brought to him, had me use use speedeat to say things about the ifoce, I may not have written otherwise. Talked me into doing mediocre events, I really didn’t want to do. ex) Peggy O’Neils after the 1st or 2nd yr & the Pumpkin Pie event w/Goose for a local access cable show. Threw me out of aice because Wloce had me listed for 6 months before he apparently realized it or noticed, when the ifoce had me listed as a world record holder for 6 years, but for some reason that was ok?!
Accused me of overreacting to things when he’s the lunatic & has a track record &/or witness’ to that. ex) Ben’s Deli, when we left the CBS taping that day for Frank’s we agreed we were not going to go down there &/or cause a scene. If you know your history, you know that wasn’t the case. Black Bean eating contest not having a scale & lying about it, & causing a scene at his own event when I was calm.

Our relationship actually started with me getting things for him, before aice. Such as an appearence at Times Square for Johnsonville, & the CBS Early Show for Frank’s.

If I was willing to take the crappy $$$ he was taking for events, aice wouldn’t have existed, it would have been speedeat.

After he triple screwed me in Canada I told him ‘I may eat with you again, but I will never consider you a friend again’. Unfortunately, my actions did not neccesarily convey that, as he said to me about a yr ago ‘I consider you to be a good friend’. I said nothing because I was stunned by that. It may have been yrs but I still remembered Canada. Friendship requires trust & he proved he’s not trustworthy.

Did I make $$ with him, Yes! Did he or should he have made more $$ off me, YES! Did we fun together, absolutely. But I can say the same for the Shea’s.

Sorry for rambling &/or saying too much &/or too little.

Joe, what happened in Canada? You’ve mentioned it a couple of times. I’m dying to know. Please share.

aicenonomously speaking, it sounds like you are missing someone there Joe. First off lets give a little, or a lot of credit to Gilbert. He ate 50 2 ouncers in 7 minutes. He broke Czerwinski’s record by 7 meatballs.
You always mention what YOU did for Arnie. You say “sure he did for you” but damn, give enough credit where its due. Ever since the AICE/APE contract issue came up and you left/got booted from AICE its has been ALL ABOUT YOU. And you’ve got the nerve to think that AICE is/was nothing without you. I know you Joe. Your cockiniess has always got the best of you. And it will remain the same until whenever.

I don’t see who i’m missing in what I wrote about.

I never really got to the ‘contract issue’. My direct issue was my unwillingness to ask Boone to remove me from Wloce’s rankings & the issues in the past that were brought up through related emails. If that had been settled to Arnie’s satisfaction, I probably would have had issues w/the contract very shortly after.

Why sign w/a disorganization that had previously eschewed such a thing & proudly was against others doing the same. (‘slavery is over’) If you’re going to sign why not sign w/the ifoce an established organization or Wloce an up & coming organization instead of one that’s stuck in a rut & getting worse??

Cocky. I don’t think so, but I have heard similar descriptions enough to understand that is others perception of me. I would say confident, &/or aloof.

I find plenty of work. Eating & ticket wise. It is a matter of my schedule & likely monetary gain as to which I choose & when, as well as familial issues.

Breaking records yr to yr are mostly unrealistic, particularly when the record holder isn’t there.

However, you are correct regarding Goose. Congrats! 50 meatballs is impressive.

I don’t mean to take anything from Goose, but i’m sure the balls were either slightly smaller, or heated better, or some other scenario, just as was commented on in regards to Strawberries this yr.

While I did competitively carry aice for yrs, if it was just me that was gone it wouldn’t matter. Losing Pete, Will & others who feel signing with ifoce lite is ridiculous.

On the positive side for aice Goose is a tremendous eater, but lacks personality.

Ian is a great eater IF he trains & has the personality & good looks to attract attention, but at his young age has already retired once.

King George is a solid eater & personality but has retired several times & may have health issues.

Bob Kuhns is a great long form eater, but most contests arent long enough to show his Japanese like greatness.

Floria Lee is great at dumplings, but reluctant to do anything else.

    Rubber Gut – See Kuhn’s.

Joel The Cannon has improved, but come on.

Pete Maurizio – See Kuhn’s & Rubber Gut.

Mark Lyle – Solid eater, but claims to be retiring…by the end of the yr??

Chowhound & Coondog both solid eaters, but both atleast semi-retired & its hard to eat for the organization you run, which is a reason why speedeat never ran a contest, I wanted to eat, not organize.

Jay Gorman has shown he has potential.

Sorry, I don’t know enough about Tiny & Kordalski to comment.

I totally agree with those statements Joe made about the aice eaters.
I’ll continue for the 2 eaters that he don’t know.

Tiny – Obviously not tiny by any means (400+ lbs.) but fast in a short run.

Kordalski – Great hamburger eater but not much else besides that.

And as for 2 guys that spark my attention. 1.Gorman did a Nathans qualifier and Arnie let him back in like it wasnt shit. 2.Kuhns is probably the best long run eater in the U.S..
