MLE announced that the first qualifier of the 2023-24 circuit will take place in August in a seaside English town where Nathan's is available. Nathan's Famous UK has two restaurants in Southampton and Bournemouth. Beard Meats Food and Leah Shutkever (if she competes) will probably be the favorites. Kate Ovens will also have the opportunity for a qualifier near her Hampshire hometown.

Why would you fly to a UK qualifier when there’s gonna be like 10 or more in the US?
Wonder if we see Kyle or Max give it a go for a coney in 2024z

@6:35– 2023 was a bit lighter than normal for qualifiers—they are just getting back into full speed after covid. I would say we’ll see at least 10 qualifiers for the 2024 contest (counting England). This year they also had 5 international byes (Adam, zosan, corbucci, max Suzuki, and Webb)—I think they’ll only give out 2 or 3 international byes next year. Or maybe we will see more eaters overall at the table on July 4, 2024.

Joey (bye) = 1 +
10 qualifiers= 11 +
2 Int’l byes= 13 +
3 wild cards = 16 total eaters.
I could see something like this^^ being what happens in reality for 2024 circuit. I think we all just hope that half the qualifiers aren’t in Ohio again.
