BB TV #6: Charles Hardy in-studio

The sixth episode of Brian Seiken’s television show is now available. Commissioner Charles Hardy is Brian’s first in studio guest. Hardy describes how he became involved in competitive eating and his role in the 9/11 recovery efforts. Hardy also offers his opinion on if he would have disqualified Kobayashi in the 2001 Nathan’s contest. The most dramatic section of the show occurs when Dale Boone calls into the show from India and Hardy confronts Boone about his inflammatory statements and actions.

This was another great episode. With Charles in the studio you could see his expressions. He came across very well. Anyone going to Molly Pitcher better watch out. With Charles coaching his son, that may be locked up already!

Thanks Bob Charles was a super guest. He is a veteran of the talk show scene so the interview went real smooth like silk. What you saw was no act. Hardy was upset not so much about Boone’s comments about him but Hardy was very hurt by Boone’s remarks against Lefevre and Humble Bob . Aplogies to the Godfather on the ECOFI backwards lettering. Charles did not have the shirt on backwards . It was my fault for i forgot to change the camera angle. Crazy Legs pic came off the wall half way during the show but i pasted it back on. Not sure if this will top Don Lerman’s show but it has one hell of a chance.

I viewed BB corner ep# 6 . I get the feeling it didn’t sit well with some people. Bet it wont top Lerman’s show. This latest one has howard stern FCC ban written all over it! Parental guidance advised

Hey fan of the sport i could not care less what anyone thinks of the damn show. I think(unlike some other people) before i put a product out on the airwave and i carefully consider what is offensive and what isnt..If AOL wants to dump it, let it be. Hardy said what he had to say and i gave Boone his fair share also. I would never make it a one sided affair. Its ok for the IFOCE to make laughing stocks out of myself and Lipsitz(actually i got the worse of the deal setting me up to lose twice) which i dont mind one damn bit because it makes for good humor even while our eating careers were sacrificed along with it, but when its Boone and the Commissioner then it becomes no laughing matter? Hmm Someone needs to get the damn priorities straight.

Hey Brian I really liked the show it was cool having Hardy live in studio. I only wished that Dale had descent reception so he could stay on line longer and really get ripped apart. As far as people taking offense I don’t think so, people hear worse at the local gas station and thats the beauty of the internet you can turn it off. The montages were great. Where did you get the weird video of Crazy leggs and Boone water training in a hotel room?

Thanks Bubba. actually Boone had a hell of lot more to say but the international lines are bad and they cut off in the middle of the conversation so it actuality Boone was still talking. He did not hang up. The video of Legs and Boone were taken from Gutbusters in Alaska which aired in 2003 on discovery channel. If young kids saw that scene they might get the wrong idea. I have you scheduled to be on the show at a later date via phone thanks again
