    I don’t think Bob cares about setting records, he’s just a big guy who likes to eat tons of food and people like to watch him do it. Not everyone has to try to be the world’s best

    I have to be honest, of maybe any community online I have ever seen competitive eating may be the most toxic. The amount of name calling and hating on this site is absurd. I just don’t get it to be honest.

    I agree totally with 9:30 pm. We have said this a gazillion times. This is a blog about competitive eating, not one where you attack every eater and even their families. Commenting on someone’s divorce and abandoning their kids is but one example. Also, people blow smoke out of their orifice and say things about which they know zero. It is easy to make things up when you are anonymous. But if I put my name here, I would be subject to abuse. People, do not use this forum to express your own unhappiness. Get help if you need it. It is sickening to read so many negative and yes, toxic comments.

    Sadly competitive eating is full of selfish ego tactical people. They only care about winning. There’s no real friendships . Only the top eaters make anything. It’s a very expensive hobby. But it is fun . It’s something to do on the weekend.

    Bob is a Great Eater just enjoying his YouTube Channel. And I believe him and Brandon did the 11 pound burrito in 6:03 minutes and you have 4 people to challenge that for some cash jackpot!! That’s great for the sport . Bob and Brandon are just doing this to make some cash and for the owner of Bad Azz Burrito to get some great advertising and publicity.

    Not sure if you know this but they started a contest to help get everyday Joe’s a chance to win money that professionals are usually the only ones able to tackle them. I am not sure if anyone cares to help non amateurs out that are professionals or even tries to start challenges for them. Nobody attacks Brandon and his name is in the post as well. I think that the people must be pretty hateful to just peg Bob and have a grudge towards them. I hope the envy does not swallow their lunch. Some people already proved themselves and they are just having fun unlike the Negative Nancy’s that have a pathetic depression to have to constantly prove themselves.

    Having met Bob on numerous occasions I can assure you there is no one nicer, more down to Earth, and an overall good guy. Anyone who has hate for Bob is just being a jealous douchebag as I have met plenty of guys in competition who either lost and had sour grapes, or were sore winners, he doesn’t take anything for granted and if you’re saying that about Bob you are doing it from afar as that’s not the Bob I know. Bob is one of the good guys and even when he beat me, I took it as a badge of honor to lose to someone of his caliber.
