When asked about Joey Chestnut in an interview for PennLive, Bob Shoudt calls him "highly overrated" and says "It’s time that guy gets knocked down a peg. Hopefully I’m the guy to do it."

I agree with Bob, Joey is a great eater but is as boring as a rock, I’d much rather see Pat, Bob or Tim win then its fun again, when Kobi left that made Joey that much more lame at least you had the big guy/little guy, American/Asian, old champ/ new champ battle now you have no one close to Joey in Hotdogs – as far as the woman’s title we all know Sonya is gonna kick everyone’s ass and Sonya rocks she deserves it.

I do not think Sonya is a lock. Grace Lee seems really confident and Juliet could have a banner day.

Grace Lee is a joke – 10 at the final table, if that.

Awesome! Bob is always good at playing it up for drama and entertainment’s sake. Agree with the earlier commented though, without Koby Nathan’s is a boring one-man show.

Good for BOB for developing a stronger public personality and getting more press. Joey has always been boring, beginning as mumble mouth. He has improved his public skills but will never ever come close to approaching the best spokespeople for competitive eating. He should and is taking the money and running while he can. Were it not for eatfeats, we would never know and be able to compare $ and press and everything else.

that is the stupidest analogy i have ever heard. Do you think Chestnut cares if people think hes boring? He gets paid to eat and could easily quit his day job and live quite comfortable off the endorsements, the appearance and contest money he earns

Boring or not, he is the best.
