B.O.B. really did kick Joey’s a$$ in this contest. I know B.O.B. is smart enough to know that he would have fallen down had he tried to kick his own a$$ on the way up to the podium instead of spanking! Nice job! It was great that Flash Gordon finished third and all that, but his total was really low for third place.

It’s funny how the few haters on this site are quick to shit on Brian whenever he comments but when he has something that nobody else seems to have they run to youtube to watch it. I like the way OJ says Brian Seiken has some videos like he’s posting it as a last resort. . He has no choice but to credit Brian because he cant google the video anywhere else. .Also note how most of the eaters nicknames with stats are posted under the rib thread while Brian is referred to as Brian Seiken instead of Beautifulbrian

Who gives a crap where the video comes from. OJ is well withing his/her rights to link to Brian Siekins videos and not give him ANY credit whatsoever. All OJ needs to say is “a video of the contest has been posted to YouTube”. OJ doesn’t OWE Brain Seikan any credit any more than OJ owes any other blogger or video poster credit.

The Butiful Brian videos were very entertaining & the filmwork was of the highest qaulity. Nobody in the IFOCE knows how to put on a stage show or provide the high level of excellence quite like Butiful Brian Seiken.
The worst part of the video was when that marble mouth MC Mike started his event analysis. Holy crap, I swear the guy was falling asleep or at a loss for words. Then he had to throw in a few cheapshots at Flash Gordon who was kicking ass. Is Mike clueless or does he just pre-plan what he is going to say while on the plane? If I were an eater, I’d be pissed.

Not so humble Bob did a good job winning this one. He’s not humble at all. But, never mind. I bet Joey got a LOT more money for just showing up than Not So Humble Bob did for showing up and winning.
IFOCE is a joke. WFOCE is an even bigger joke, but never mind about that.
IFOCE is NOT about being the “best eater”, it’s just about how the Shea brothers can make the most money. They don’t care about who’s the best. They only care about filling their own pockets.
And, of course, the top 50 that they produce once or twice a year has VERY LITTLE to do with the top 50 eaters. To them, it’s only money. They don’t care about Competitive Eating in any other way than filling their own pockets.
There are several eaters outside IFOCE who, if it were JUST about eating, would easily qualify for a top 50 spot. And I can think about one, Furious Pete, who would probably qualify for a top 5 spot.
But, no, the Shea brothers only care about the money THEY THEMSELVES can make from IFOCE.
Their IFOCE has NOTHING to do with “the world’s best eater”, only with the Shea brothers making the most money.

I don’t think Bob has earned the right to have his expenses covered the way Joey has. Joey has national name recognition (sort of) as the reigning Nathan’s champion. The guy has his own baseball card. When Bob wins Nathan’s, then he can start make demands about travel expenses and appearance fees.

If you want to be treated “fairly” go to your local YMCA team or your local county league. Everyone gets to play, everyone is treated equally, and nobody thinks it’s about anything more than having fun.
There is nothing in the IFOCE contract that says anything about you getting anything more than an opportunity to compete once in a while if you’re lucky. This is a food marketing business, nothing more. Not fair? No problem – go find another deal you like better. This is what you agreed to when you signed up. Some get treated better than others. It’s a game called “life.” Get a clue.

They really should implement a rule, anybody outside of the top 10-15 should be able to do Indy comps. Look at eaters outside the top 15 and tell me how much money they actually have made with the IFOCE, at least Indy comps would help with paying for travel (money that needs to come out of eaters pockets)…
as far as I see it, the IFOCE needs the mid ranked guys more then the mid ranked guys need the IFOCE to make their contests look more reasonable or else you will have 1-3 top ten’ers at each contest vs a bunch of locals.
Each contest would look like this
Tacos
Joey Chestnut – 50
Sonya Thomas – 45
Joe Shoe – 9
Jane Shmoe – 7
Pepe Rodriguez – 5

The sponsers comp rooms, like the Isle of Capri people are willing to or they are not depending on the hotel and if you bother to ask. Really if you dont want to pay for a hotel or flight then dont travel. Get some friends and car pool if it is that hard on you.

Brians website is not necesarily the truth. It is more like leave it up to your imagination if you believe it to be the truth or not. Anony 11:50 am brings up an excellent point. Without the mid ranked eaters you have sonya, joey, bob and whoever beating up on garbage. Provisions should be made for mid ranked eaters . Its about freakin time. This organization has been in existence for 9yrs and most of the ifoce members end up shelling out hundreds of dollars without one cent in return. Ok once in a blue moon the sponsor or hotel pays for a room or supplies a voucher for free parking which is a nice gesture but for the most part most the eaters end up with a big hole in the wallet. Wild Bill apparantly had loads of money to burn but either he has been shut out of contests or the well done run dry.

Sure, I have hundreds of friends wanting to drive cross country wanting to split the cost of gas and hotel rooms just to watch guys eat for 10minutes.
really though, I’m not complaining about the travel cost as most people know it’s on their own dime going in, but if you can pick up an extra $100 or $200 at a local Indy contest to help pay for the flight and rental car, it’ll help.

The actual point here is that we want to see a “true world champion”. Dale Boone obviously is not, even though he keeps declaring himself as such, and even after losing so many “games”. We want to see who is TRULY the WORLD CHAMPION. Regardless of claims and regardless of organisations. Boone will never qualify, OBVIOUSLY, because he loses all the time and always cheats. But what about the rest? Joey? He’s listed number one. Bob? He has such a good record recently. Or Furious Pete? Who is the TRUE world champion? It’s like boxing. Or chess. Every organisation declares their own “world champion”. Hell, I could now create my own “organisation” in which I’m ALWAYS (by definition) the “World Champion”. Please, let everyone compete against everyone else. And THEN determine who is really the greatest of the “world champions” of each of the separate organisations.
I want to see the “true” world champion. Dale Boone, vs. Joey, vs. Koby, vs. Furious Pete, and so on… over a number of challenges.

Of course Tim should have received a free trip. Obviously the sponsor likes him. He is the media star of the ifoce. He did days worth of media before the event. TV and radio, tons of stuff. As proof of what a big draw he is, look at all the post contest media coverage. If BB didnt bribe a kid to tape it, there would be no record of the event.
