Bodybuilding.com water drinking contest

“Furious” Pete has started a contest on bodybuilding.com in which participants will submit videos of drinking from a bottle containing 1.5 liters of water. The fastest time will receive a product from Engineered Sports Technology.

Pete has uploaded a video of him drinking 1.5L in 8 seconds (He is not eligible for the prize). His goal is to break Ken Domon’s mark of 4.88 seconds from Food Battle Club: The Speed

    pretty cool.

    Pete, I’d advise you to be careful doing it multiple times in a day however as you mentioned in the video for ‘cutting’. Water will bond to the Minerals and Electrolytes in your body and flush them out when you excrete it. There’s several risks to this as the salts are needed for Electrical connectivity between your nerves.

    If you start getting headaches, stop.

    Pete I must go out and get a bottle of water and try this. The exercise back and forth to the bathroom should be a good work out for me. Maybe I should just skip the bathroom and see how long it takes to fill the bottle back up. Now that’s a contest. No videos for that one.

    Hahah I was joking about the cutting…I mean you need actual nutrition to maintain muscle mass, I was just referring to the fact that you can get very bloated from doing this a few times…but not bad for my first time, 8 seconds. I think I can get it down to 6 or 5 with a couple more tries 🙂

    Pete, instead of water why don’t you try milk? or soda or beer or even any kind of fruit juice? I could give it a try but I like something with taste more than just plain water, I have done milk before, I think you also took part in the bodybuilding.com milk contest, didn’t you?

    Pete, without having to go through the chit-chat on the other board, is this over? If not, what are the times like so far, and when will it be over?
