The twitter for Simon's Deli announces that it will be the site of a cannoli eating contest on tonight's episode of Mama's Boys of The Bronx on TLC at 10 pm eastern. One of the characters on the program is "Pretty Boy" Pete D(iFiglia), which might be a trademark violation.

    Pete must regester his name as a Trademark for the show to be in violation, although federal registration of a mark is not mandatory, it has several advantages, including notice to the public of the registrant’s claim of ownership of the mark, legal presumption of ownership nationwide, and exclusive right to use the mark on or in connection with the goods/services listed in the registration. You might be thinking of copyright violation,,,but Copyright law does not protect names, titles, or short phrases or expressions. Only original works of authorship can be copyrighted.

    I heard there is also a Beautiful Brian S (Santonio) on the show too.Heads will roll.
