This guy is NO competitive eater. He has done a couple challenges and calls himself a competitive eater. LOL.

Everybody started somewhere or Joey ate 65 hot dogs the first time he competed?

Scott makes himself out to be the next coming of Joey Chestnut. I think he has some videos of his challenges on his facebook page that don’t look that impressive. Any top 20 eater in the IFOCE could easily beat the itmes he has put up.
I wonder if he is delusional. All the breaking the world record talk and then starting a foundation…..Wierd.

Everybody has to start somewhere, and the same goes for Scott Bickel. Before the age of twenty, he has written a book, and now is into competitive eating. I’m not sure I would ever recommend this route to any young adult starting out, but Scott has done more with his life than many his age – whether one agrees with his goals and aspirations or not. My hope is after he wins the Nathan’s Hot Dog Challenge in July 2011, he will focus on other things. Scott has come a long way – and I really am amazed with his progress in achieving his dreams. The best way to understand what drives Scott Bickel is to read his biography on the ’Books & Magazines’ page at http://www.MALL727.net. This is a young man who had to overcome a lot – nothing came easy to him. Do I agree with him on all things? No. however I respect him and the fact he is a natural go-getter – I wish I had his energy when I was his age. Like all of us when we start out, Scott is simply a little ’wet’ behind the ears. However, in ten years, I think Scott will have achieved many of the goals he has focused on. And knowing Scott as the son of a good friend of mine, I keep pushing him to ’think college’, because I really believe he will succeed – he certainly has the drive.
