    I will be very interested to see the lineup for that qualifier.
    And I wish Bickel the best of luck.
    He is very dedicated to this and has set his heart, body, mind, and soul to going to Nathans.

    There will be upsets this year resulting in new MLE signees. I don’t know if Bickle is one of them. Publicity has a way of finding people and there seem to be plenty of media outlets in ohio interested in the status and spreading the news of Scott Bickle. I say good for him, we can only wait and see how he does. There is an eater in my own locality that nobody knows about, but he has been completely dominant in every way and i can’t see him losing to anybody outside the MLE top 5. For whatever reason news outlets and MLE have not found him. I was thrilled to found out that he made a qualifier.

    Since i don’t think Bickle has actually competed against anybody but himself it is hard for anybody to gauge his ability, i am confident about his inner drive to get to the big show, but without seeing how he has done in timed events it is hard to be confident in his ability to beat any decent eaters. The most direct way to gauge an eater is to put them in timed events together. This is why Bickle is a complete wildcard, he himself might not even know how good he can do.

    I will let him make his own thunder if he chooses. I thought it was pertainanent to the Bickle situation. Some guys get a lot of publicity and don’t materialize, others get little hype. (If he is half as good as i think he is he will do just fine though.) we won’t have to wait too long.
