Competitive Eating Theological Debate

There is a long and interesting thread from last year on a Christian message board about whether competitive eating (or eating occasional large meals) is prohibited by the Bible.

    Wow, its great to find out competitive eating it might not be a sin. I’ve always assumed that it was. Does this mean my foursome fantasies involving Cristina Gualmola, Sonya Thomas & Kate Stelnick might not be a sin even if they came true too?

    THIS IS DON ”MOSES”LERMAN FROM A JEWISH THEOLOGIAL POINT OF OF LARGE MEALS ARE NOT PROHIBITED, MOST SPONSERS OF CONTESTS RUN THEIR CONTESTS TO RAISE MONEY FOR SECOND HARVEST AND SOUP KITCHENS, I SAW MANY CLERGY. OF ALL FAITHS AT CONTESTS AND THEY ENOJOYED IT FOR WHAT IT IS GOOD…. OLD FASHIONED FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT OF A GREAT NEW BERGINING SPORT

    I often worship a porcelin god after many a challenging contest, and I have heard many in the crowd exclaim “Oh, my God” during our competitions…this leads me to believe that, for many, a hot dog, waffle, or hamburger eating contest is truly a religious experience!!
