competitiveeating.com.au has a profile of Daniel Mercer, winner of over $7,000 in Australian contests in 2012. He is considering competing in North American eating contests. (Interestingly, the Mt. Druitt Standard has an article about the Lone Pine Tavern chili eating contest claiming Crescenzo Rillo won the contest instead of Daniel Mercer.)

    That article claiming Crescenzo won is incorrect. They need better competitive eating journalists!
