I wonder if they’d let me judge if I won the auction — or would that be a Conflict of Interst? I wonder what George would say. I wish I wne to the auction; I guess we’ll never know.

Since my site is no longer in existence I’ll give you the lowdown from last night. Its always good seeing the old IFOCE guys shooting the breeze over a few drinks. I am not a big fan of alcohol but one or two wont hurt every now and then. It would have been nice to see some memoroblia auctioned off from past Nathans qualifiers . Weird kinda stuff like debris from Crazy Legs cup or a Badlands Nathans teashirt with autographed names or Mike Devito mustard stained shirt . How about a 1995 molded crusty Nathans shirt worn by Krazy Kev. Most of the stuff auctioned off was framed vintage photos of historical nature that you can buy from nyc street vendor for $10 to $20 bucks. I heard bids of $900 for some of these items which was reserved for the 6 figure bigwigs . The sword swallower was entertaining and very sociable . I told him he must get tons of women because Ron Jeremy has nothing on him. The burlesque show was nothing spectacular. Jill Stoler could have done a much better job. They served a few hoer derves while some oldtime nathans promoter stuffed some hot dogs in his mouth as a prelude to George Shea’s speech. Dave Baer who is a partner in the IFOCE and part of sheabaer productions, is a stauch supporter of my music. He along with Mike Castellano are probably the only big names in the IFOCE that get a thrill out of watching me perform the songs from the CD. He asked me “Brian you ready to get on stage”? I told him its no big deal but if you want me up there im ready” He then approaches George with a test copy cd containing two instrumental tracks “the cheater and Let me tell ya” . Dave commented” I want him on that stage no if ands or buts about it” George handed the cd to the DJ but from the expression on both faces , i dont believe they were excited about it nor do i believe that they had any original intent on making the songs part of the entertainment. Their intention has always been to promote the music of Badlands Booker and nothing else. Badlands took the stage performing one of his well known hits from hungry and focused and that was the musical entertainment for the evening. I would have liked to do “Bonebreaker” with Badlands but i was not asked to do so. I take nothing away from Badlands who is a role model and a credit to the sport ,but some feel my lyrics are too either too controversial or that my voice is shot to hell . It could be a combo of both but i still like the stuff i put together regardless of how anyone feels. I think Badlands tried to push the DJ to play the songs after the show was ending but i have no interest in performing in front of an empty room nor am i that desperate for attention . Nice of him to go out of his way but i dont need favors from a less than enthusiatic house band with a 70 yr old DJ to promote my music for five minutes. Hell i could call my former bandmates from yesteryear to come down and jam with me. I came down to be part of the ceremony honoring George Shea and that was about it. If anyone thought i was looking to run up on stage like some little kid craving attention , you got it all wrong. I just dont like being embarrassed and i think i was. I expect the anonymous idiots to chime in with their assinine remarks but thats biz as usual on eatfeats.com. Nuff said!

“I” i normally never respond to you because you are an asshole who refuses for some strange reason not to post his or her real identity. When you use the term”cd and stuff” i can easily assume you are a kid or possibly an ignorant semi adult with little if any education. I have a question for you ? Have you or any of the other anonymous dicks ever taken the time out to produce a cd or write lyrics for a cd? Do you realize the time and effort it takes to put together a cd? It appears that your taste in contemporary music or any music for that matter is about as tasty as the sh– in your butthole. Do you know anything about R&B? Classic rock? Punk rock? Jazz? Blues? . I doubt it. By dissing older type music that you know nothing about, makes you sound even more ignorant than you already are. You made what i considered a stupid remark in the past. ” BB music isnt worth the media it’s recorded on or something to that effect. You went on to say “think hungry & focused” . How do you think Badlands would feel if the comment was the other way around ? Not very happy .If you knew something about music or were some type of professional media critic i would take your comments to heart but you are nothing but as ass that leaves one or two line remarks that bare nothing but negative input to this website. I dont think you know anything about rap music or anykind of music. . It;s just about getting in a dig or two about me. I think you made that comment partly out of fear of Badlands and partly because his cd has been hyped by IFOCE.com and also because he has been given the opportunity to perform tracks from the cd on stage. Not to mention that he is a likeable individual and a great eater to boot. I have yet to be given any of those opportunities but i honestly dont care one way or another. I have other things going on in my life which is why i have not made an attempt to bring back my website for the time being.

So maybe I missed it, ADD kicks in when there are a lot of characters on the screen, but wasn’t this about an auction? Only a kid craving attention would write 2/3 of thier post about how they didn’t get to sing.

People would have paid more money for items like that because they were there to support Coney Island USA and the programs that they promote. Fundraisers are not always the best places to find a bargain.

Look at it as a blessing in disguise.

You (and everyone else in attendance) probably would have been even more embarrassed if they’d actually let you perform. Unless you were specifically asked to be there to “entertain”, it’s hard to see why you had any reason to think that you were there to do anything other than honor George Shea for his civic accomplishments. Even then, do you think “singing” a song written specifically to humiliate one the his organization’s top eaters is something that the chairman wants to hear, especially at this type of public event?

You seem to miss the entire point because you and other BB haters focus in on the negative aspect of my comment while ignoring the rest of what was said . I was put on the spot when i did not ask to be put on the spot. How many times do i have to repeat this or do you get pleasure in just fu– with me. I was asked to perform prior to the event by an individual in the IFOCE brass. I assume he did not check with his two other partners or the the low end band members that were on stage that evening. When he finally did check with that particular party , the named party’s facial expression response was something to the effect “This is not part of the agenda gimme a break ok ” Mr Adnor did make a vaild point in his last sentence of the paragraph. If that be the case then i could understand and not be offended. But if its belitting someone’s music talents then i take offense to that the same way some of you midranked eaters get offended when you are labeled as a table ender. Does that make some kind of sense or do i have to repeat myself a thousand times? The bottom line is that most of you do not like me because i print the damn truth about some of you assholes on my site and this is your way of getting back at me but still afraid to post your true identity. I think i should post as ‘THE TRUTH HURTS” and not the other guy from PA. I had no intention of being there to do anything other than honor George Shea but when someone waves something sweet in your face you sometimes fall for the bait. I think that the best soluiton to the entire situation was declining any offer of performing on stage if i felt something was fishy from the get go. That would have solved the problem but you never know what was actually planned until you get there You live and learn.

Mitolo you are bottom of the basement eater. Syko bozo would be ranked 25 or better in your organization if they rank you #49.

Ohhhhh, I have a stalker in South Pole. I’m sure Syko Bozo is a fine eater and person, I just don’t know him.

In any ranking system, you’ll have someone on top (Folks like Furious Pete, GentleMan Joe, Ian, Goose,… deserve to be on the top.) and someone on the bottom. That’s where I am right now, on the bottom of the rankings. Am I going to lose sleep over it, or your comments? No.

Hanging out with the eaters before and after the events has been very cool. Posting here and reading what people have to say is fun, even when someone is trying to say mean things to me.

Can anyone answer my serious question – How much did the judgeship for the 2009 Nathans contest cost?

Does anyone have a list of names that attended this function? The ones that did not show obviously have no respect for George Shea . What a disgrace . Was Moses Lerman in attendance?
