I agree. Crazy Legs is a real. If anyone has had the pleasure of speaking with him, you’ll notice he is just a humble, super intelligent guy who genuinely cares for the sport and his fellow eaters. His goal isn’t to win. His goal is to “experience” all that is available. We are lucky to have him endure the bashings most of you like to give on this site and under the Table. This is his 12th year in CE and I personally hope he keeps competing on the circuit and using his gift of gab via media to advance our beloved sport…so keep it up, CLC!

I’ve never had less than the utmost respect for Crazy Legs Conti. He is very intelligent, well spoken, well written, and doesn’t waste time with negativity or berating others. If he can’t say something nice about someone, he says nothing, which is as it should be. (In that regard, Badlands and Legs are cut from the same cloth of human kindness.)

Legs is a very positive influence on those around him, and even tries to build up the confidence of others, versus attempting to tear them down. I also appreciate the fact that he pays no attention to his mean-spirited critics, who try to cut him down out of jealousy and resentment, in spite of the fact that Legs never tries to belittle anyone.

CLC would do the world of competitive eating, and more particularly, Major League Eating a tremendous favor, if, after he retires as an active eater (some say that has already happened–smile–but watch out in corn!), he continues to use his immense talents to write and color comment / emcee at MLE events. Except for the phenomenal George Shea, himself, Legs is the most entertaining emcee / commentator associated with Major League Eating, IMHO.

ESPN would be wise to use Legs this year, instead of that favorite of Joie Chitwood, Paul Price, though the latter is improving.

Rhonda Evans please ,, corn? Really.? He will win if they rob a fellow eater who eats cleaner and a vastly larger amount like they did last year 2012 . That was classic CLC gimme, this a man who is not ashamed at all to accept what is not really earned by him but instead given to him by the crooks and manipulators who run MLE This is and will be his true and documented legacy . Benefiting himselfat the cost of rightful winners . Not to mention ( but I will) the Nathan’s Hot Dog glove stuffing cheating incident Crazy Legs Conti was caught on filmed doing. So get over the CLC is pure and angelic bull crap. CLC also insulted and disrespected Seiken a legendary eater with a mean spirited skit post contest designed to humiliate the legend .Cake ring a bell

Yeah he’s a nice guy and yeah he’s humble and yeah he cares about others but not once has he ever shown any remorse for cheating his way into more than one Nathans qualifier. Not once has he ever said to a fellow competitor that got screwed over because excess debris on Legs part / “Hey you know what you deserve this more than me” Nah he just took the trophy and made his merry way out the the door ” Real class my ass!

    Ditto for 10:45.

Here’s how the Corn contest will go that 10:45 will likely be at:

    1. Participate
    2. Finish in second place or lower
    3. Bitch and whine about judging
    4. Take or find photos of competitors’ discarded ears of corn and judge the cleanliness to which each person’s ears were cleaned (and perhaps distribute or post photos on the Internet)
5 Repeat aforementioned steps each year

Sounds like elaborate instructions for shampooing hair.

Perhaps things aren’t so bad after all, if you keep coming back.

Corn is not a “clean ear” contest. It’s about knowing how much to eat off the ear to earn credit.

Until nonwinners figure that out, they will never win; but a couple will still bitch and whine, which, apparently, makes the trip very lucrative, in terms of emotional catharsis.

Yes, Dax, a scaled up version of:

    1. Rinse. (Participate)
    2. Lather. (Bitch and whine)
    3. Repeat. (Come back next year)

Just watch it all go down, similar to what I’ve said, upon contest completion this Sunday afternoon. You’ll see pictures too! 🙂

Righteous one hits it on the nose. Conti has always tried to inadvertently tried to disrespect Seiken or make fun of him thinking Seiken is a dope and wouldnt pick up on it. Even in the BB corner interview in 2007 he mocked him using Little Jimmy the midget to simulate a few scenes in Seiken life that he shared in Bits and Pieces. The scenario at Dorney Park offering everyone a slice of a 6 month old carrot cake baking in the sun while saluting his abstinence from Eatfeats and BB.com ,was the ultimate disgrace. in my book

Real Disgrace: Your “book” must be fiction. Nevertheless, it can be more therapeutic and rewarding visiting some Web sites than it would be to be a regular. It’s long been maintained that you often become LIKE the company youy keep—-same thing goes in cyberspace. After thinking about it, those eaters who rarely visit or post on those two sites seem to be fairly happy and sane. Why start visiting and spoil it?

KK: I threw no one under the bus, by name.

Correct to my comment above, second sentence. It should read, “Nevertheless, it can be more therapeutic and rewarding NOT visiting some Web sites than it would being a regular.”

Big difference between insults and character assassination and unfounded accusations. If you just read what BS writes, you get a pretty good idea of his character. Nuff said.
