An interesting poll would be an over/under for 2nd place for both men’s and women’s on July 4th. Can you set that poll up OJ?
For men, I would say 52.5 should be the over/under.
For women, it’s really just a question of how many Lesco will eat this year. Is 28.5 a good over/under for women’s 2nd place this year?
What does everyone think?
Men: I think 2nd place is UNDER 52.5
Women: I think 2nd place is UNDER 28.5

Hi. I was wondering. No Matt Stonie in the contest? Would love to see him compete for sure since it’s been 4 years that he competed in the hot dogs contest.

Matt Stonie might not have extended his MLE contract so he could start his Stonie Bowls restaurant.
In his latest video over a month ago, Matt said he had gum issues which required surgery.

I have never heard of this dude: Zosan. Has he ever even done a hot dog contest or eating challenge? This dude could be the biggest surprise performer we see on the fourth. What if he gets second place ahead of esper, Webb and wehry? That would be INSANE.

Just saw a post that the 3rd place finisher in Kissimmee, the Joey P. guy with 20 hot dogs, was invited to Coney Island, which means they are extending FOUR (4) wild cards on men’s side. This is getting to be a joke by MLE–and it makes Conti’s “qualifying” number of 21 now seem even more suspect. Has there ever been more than three men’s wild cards (not “byes”) in the past?
With Joey Chesnut and the 5 international byes, plus the 6 qualifier winners, plus the now FOUR wild cards, that’s a total of 15 male eaters invited for July 4th on Coney (maybe someone that earned an international bye is not going to attend, though…)
