OMG! Houston Airport Officials may have detained Humble Bob’s plane for unknown reasons! Could be interesting with Wing Kong and Steakbellie today! Let’s hope the Pennsylvania Qualifier is won by one of the GREAT Pennsylvania eaters! Bob, Micah, Eric L., Brian, Russ, Bill, and Rick. This is the greatest one state 7 man team in the history of CE. Pennsylvania can out eat any other state in this fine country! Bring on ANY and ALL challengers! “You’ve got an eater in Pennsyvania!”

Congrag to Humble Bob. Why does Seiken use so much profanity on his sight? Why is Chapman bombarding him with porn sight addresses? Why is the sky blue? WTF!

Weird, they’re being measured by 10th of a HDB now? What if Bob hadn’t had shown up and only Russ and wing kong were there. Would Russ have been given the win by 1/10th or would it have been declared a tie with overtime? If only we had a “what if machine” to find out.

One of the nicer run Nathans contests. A very good size stage set that typically holds shows for the Amusement Park, theatrical lighting and colorful signage for a backdrop. Dorney Park had Advertised the event in 40″x60″ signs all over the place and filled the event seating which had a comfortable pavillion overhead. There was a fair amount of media there with cameras and video, I’ve already heard from my Mother-in-law that she saw me on the news. (perhaps their daughter could have done better?)

My youngest son remains Neat Eating Champion while George remains a master of wit and spectacle and is always fun for the crowd.

    Weather was alittle chilly

Food prep was good, but the cold air didnt allow the dogs to keep their heat very long.

I didnt see any issues with people getting more plates.

I was VERY happy with George’s inspection of plates and cups at the end of the contest.

Congrats to Bob, PA’s greatest Eater! I wont lie that I wish you had slept in after Gyros however. Russ was a formidable foe as always and doing 19+ two days in a row isnt a bad feat. I expected more from Wing Wong, however as I was pretty sure he was going eat well past the Duece.

I’m baffled and disappointed by my own performance however. I’ve had some trouble being consistent in training, but all indicators had me eating the Duece, and I was pretty sure I’d sneak a few more in beyond that. I felt pretty good pre-game so I’m not sure what happened.

The good part was that I got see old friends like Wild Bill, Flash and Paul and meet some of the new eaters. Alot of new faces and stomaches giving it a try.

The best thing was that I got to go on every rollercoaster in the park post contest!

See you all in AC, I’ll try to bring my A-Game!!!!

Does anyone have any good pictures/videos from today’s event? My parents want to see what all went down. I had fun as this was my first competitive eating experience. Hope y’all did too.

What an amazing event. My first ever eating contest and I had a blast. My nerves got the best of me leading up to the contest but all the other eaters help put me at ease. I got to meet “Humble Bob” which was a thrill in itself. Being on the same stage with some of these guys that i know from Wing Bowl was yet another thrill for me. Steakbellie and Wing Kong were some of the coolest dudes. Russ was a trip and had no clue he has an existing relationship with one of the girls that came to support me. George was an entertainer and to get to listen to his commentary for an hour or so on stage before, during, and after the competition was awesome. On to the competition……..I’m sure with better training and more time to prepare I could have surpassed 15 dogs and buns, but I am not gonna get down on my first time out and a 5th place finish behind some of the most elite eaters on the east coast. I got the eating bug and hope to do battle with some of these fine gentlemen again. Thanks MLE, IFOCE, Nathan’s, Dorney Park, George Shea, and everyone who came out to todays event.

It was great to be a part of such a spirited competition. It was also fantastic getting to meet and hang out with some eaters that I haven’t met before – Steakbellie, Wing Kong, Flash – truly a pleasure. Thanks again to Wild Bill for getting the results up for us so quickly and congratulations to Humble Bob for his 38 HDB triumph.

Good luck to you guys heading to Atlantic City next week! I might be in the area, so if I’m around I’d like to get out and support you all.

I can’t wait to get back to the table and battle it out with you all again.

Excellent job Humble One! If Tim can do 50, you should be able to come very close to it. Good luck on the 4th!
