Make sure you include my main men, Damien the Demon Boykin, the always overlooked Rick Petralia, Pierre Abry, Ravishing Rich Foley, Pi Guy, and good old what’s his name…all shoo-ins for my top 25.

Larell, I put you in my top three in several catagories – female eaters, most enthusiastic, best-dressed, eaters I’d most like to finally meet, most colorful hair….and many more.
Damien, the best thing about this poll, it’s all our lousy opinions!!

Does the IFOCE award a Rookie of the Year every year? I know that Big Ben is the 2010 ROY. Who are the frontrunners for the 2011 award?

If Seiken gives it his all, he could pull some upsets and vault into the top 20.

Sonya sets a new Wing Fest record, topping a very tough Joey Chestnut in his first loss in Chicken wings ever (that I can remember), and she drops from # 4 to # 5?
Joey came in as best eater in the world, wings included. He hasn’t lost since!
Though Sonya dropping in the standings wouldn’t be fair at all (to Sonya) … in all honesty … you may well be right Drac.
The Fed did drop Koby from # 2 to # 3 shortly after he won Krystals, knowing Koby was on his way out of the IFOCE. They could see the writing on the wall. So they likely reasoned, “Why promote someone leaving the organization, regardless of how “great” or “legendary” he is?”
Sonya really threw a wrench into the MLE fan when she topped Pepto-sponsored Joey in Wings Labor Day weekend. That was not supposed to happen. But it showed what The Widow is made of, and how little foresight and vision MLE possesses.
A substantial part of why there was no Krystal Square-Off this year is because MLE slapped the boyishly-enthusiastic, friendly face of Krystals when MLE facilitated (or did nothing to prevent) the arrest of Krystals’ Champion—-talk about disrespect.
Placing the Notorious one ahead of Koby not long after the Square-Off was meant to be a slap in Koby’s face, not an acknowledgement of Bob’s talent (otherwise he’d be on the “Wall of Shame.”)
Bob’s a great, and talented guy, but I don’t think he’d ever top Koby unless Koby’s mouth was sewn shut, and perhaps not even then.
Joey is positively and emphatically the best eater in the IFOCE, and he is the only person in the world even close to Koby in talent.
On the next change in rankings, all I can predict for sure is Joey: # 1, and Pat: # 2. After that it’s really a dart throw, based on “what’s best for” MLE.

Rhonda, you are soooo full crap! krystal’s decision to not have a contest has nothing to do with koby getting arrested. they don’t even care if he competes (they had the contest without him one year). the truth is that Krystal has had a rough year, and had to layoff a third of their employees. Along with layoffs, krystal has had to scale back advertising and that is why there isn’t a square off this year.

Hard to keep up with Rhonda, do think what she writes shows how the rankings are so subjective. I disagree with her on a few minor points though not her assessment of the eaters. I do not think MLE saw any writing on any wall, why they put Koby at #3 right after Krystals just seems thoughtless. Trying to reward Bob perhaps was what they had in mind since Koby only competed in a few contests and won enough to pay his own way. While there may have been other reasons for no Krystals this year, those given, new management, economy etc., there is no doubt that Kobyashi’s arrest created tons of ill will. And honestly, Kobayashi will forever be more known and more popular than Joey no matter what Joey accomplishes. While I bet that Kobayashi isn’t asking, I wouldn’t be shocked if he did come back to go up against Joey next year for Nathan’s. And I do bet that if he did, it would be (mostly) on his terms. Let’s face it. He is the only one to give Joey a run and Nathan’s was completely boring without him. Janus says he is determined to win Nathan’s, but a contest between Joey and Janus would not generate the excitement that Koby does. You have to have two people close to each other and lots of other colorful “stuff” to make Nathan’s interesting. As for other ranking numbers, perhaps they do give a bit more consideration to eaters in the lower ranks who do more contests than others simply because they do pay their own way but perhaps I am giving too much credit to what is surely a relatively thoughtless process.

Agree with everything Rhonda said. All of it. Those that think differently about Krystals, Bob, and Koby are living in la la land.

Rhonda you sure do like to play it both ways. In Buffalo when Sonya lost to Eric there was a huge problem with the scales. This year Sonya beats Joey and the scales of course were perfect. In Las Vegas you would not give anyone credit for beating a hurt Takeru. Yet in other posts you are giving Sonya, and to be fair others, credit for beating Bob. It is common knowledge that Bob has been hurt for months now. Sonya is a great eater, without question one of the best all time. Her accomplishments speak loudly. Fact is she has the ability to win when she competes, regardless who is at the table. You really don’t need to twist stuff all of the time.
