I would look for some new eaters to breakout at this contest as well. This is a fast food and there are always rookies waiting to break out with a big win or at least a high placing. I don’t expect Larry or Seaver to do very well. Tamales are tough. Eater x should win this one if I had to pick. From 2nd place on is anyones game.

Bubba I guess you would like that bet. As they say, “My momma raised no fool!”

Larry “should” come in the Top 3. He’s been eating for several years. Seaver is a rookie. I honestly will be pulling for Larry, and I am really sticking my neck out in my predictions. You’re taking the easy way out. That’s like me wanting to bet that Sonya will finish in the top 3 in the Krystal Finals.

I want in vs. Rhonda on Sonya being in the top 3 at Krystals

I wanna bet, I don’t wager against unknown entities. However, if you really want to lose your money I’m sure there will be an off-shore site that you can donate to. Anyway, by then you’ll have the luxury of seeing the other totals that will be put up.

As of this morning, Hall Hunt has withdrawn from Saturday’s World Tamale Eating Championship at Lewisville’s Western Day festival. But he has been replaced by Rich “the Locust” LeFevre.

Wow, that’s too close to call between Tim and Rich. That’s a toss-up.

Rhonda, why don’t you hazard a guess!

Picking a winner might be tough, since there are at least four entants clearly capable of beating the world record mark of 41 tamales in 12 minutes. And watch out for a dark horse eater, Nathan Biller of Wichita Falls, who is a multi-year winner of the “Beanie Burger” contest in that city.

Tamales are a very fast food. It is going to take 48 to win this one. It is all going to come down to capacity. With each tamale weighing around 3.5 ounces, it is going to take about 12 pounds of capacity to even come close on this one. I am very excited to see the results of this one.

    Final results:

1st place – Tim Janus, 51 tamales (world record)
    2nd place – Rich LeFevre, 50 tamales
    3rd place – Seaver Miller, 30 tamales

Bubba I think Rhonda pretty much called it. Did Larry not participate? How much did you bet her, by the way?

For those of you that spell words incorrectly and post on here before checking , a word of friendly advice. You might be the most intelligent person in the world but when words are misspelled you come off sounding like a retard, ignoramous or just a plain illiterate idiot. It doesn’t take much to use spellcheck a free program on the web. You gain much more respect when you have the power of the english language under your belt. Bad grammar is the same as forgetting to brush your teeth , accidently spitting on someone while your talking , or not wiping your ass properly after taking a dump . I rest my case !
