Hall might have come in fifth amongst the pros with 85+, but I am an amateur who was in that event today and I ate 90+!!( Not only did I beat Hall but also Booker and Gravy too.) Viva la Rasa!

I think that anyone who can eat over 50 deserves a pat on the butt … I mean back, let alone eating 100+ … my Gosh!

The contest was awesome and a little gross but I did enjoy Booker’s rap,Gravy’s hat, the rookie that had a reversal, Pat’s entrance and all the faces the eaters made during the contest.

    Johny5isalive,
This isn’t meant to be rude or anything, but if you did as well as you did in Buffalo and now in Chicago, why aren’t you doing the pro shows? If you have the talent to beat Hall, you are in the wrong league. Move on up to the big leagues.

    Mike Landrich,
I have just started to do sanctioned events to see if I have the natural talent to be able to compete with the big boys. Until the contest in Buffalo, I had only competed in eating events very sporadically locally and mostly as a joke but had never been beaten. This fourth of July I entered a contest called the Vertuccis big dog challenge which had a top prize of $1000, and I won it by eating 16 hdb’s in nine minutes picnic style with no previous dog experience or even a competition for at least two years. Since then I have won three more unsanctioned events, finished second in buff, fifth in kings island, and fifth in jalapenos . I know now that with a little more practice and some more competition experience that I could possibly finish in the money spots at a pro event but until then I will continue to enter every contest I can. This weekend I am going to St. Loius for a sushi contest, if you want to see how good I am why don’t you enter it, I’m pretty sure if no pros are there it will be a cake walk and then a round trip vacation to Japan.A hell of a lot better than a stomach ache and finishing in the shit I was that close to placing spot like I did in Chicago last week. How do you become a pro anyway? Are you a pro eater I have’nt seen any results for you recently anywhere? By the way if you look at the official results at lacostena under the recent contests on this page I am placed higher than what sonya posted, check it out! Im no bullshit and Ive got better things to do than create some bogus numbers and pretend I have the talent and post them here so everybody can talk shit about me.

I wasn’t doubting you. I was just curious why you were in the amateurs. I am a pro eater, but apparently not a very good one. I only do 3 or 4 shows a year and usually place mid-pack. To sign up as a pro eater, go to http://www.ifoce.com and click on “join as an eater”. Seriously, compete as a pro. You’re doing yourself no favors competing as an amateur. As for competing this weekend, I would’ve done the Maine burrito eating contest, if I had had enough notice.

    johnny5,
Sonya Thomas is the Gold Standard around here and she’s been beating me up and down the block for 3 years. I havent seen your numbers but if you say you’re better than her, then by golly you belong in this league!

I invite you to take a spot in one of the remaining Krystal Burger Qualifiers. There’s $50K at stake and you only have to eat 51 or higher to be guaranteed money at the final! I think Sonya did 55.

If you miss that there will be plenty of contests for you, but plan ahead to compete in the Nathans contests next spring. 16 HDB’s is nothing to sneeze at for a first timer.
    Good Luck out there!

Once again the mighty steakbellie, the Cyrano de Bergerac of competitive eating, comes to the aid of another female eater. Whom I might add doesn’t need their honor defended from some two bit rookie who has a few contests under his belt. If and when “short circuit” or whatever he goes by decides to do a Nathans or Krystals, he will realize the might of the woman in this sport is not something to be take for granted.

Juliet would have eaten at least 200 peppers. She just saved everyone embarrassment by not showing up in Chicago.

    Don,
Clearly you are an Eater of no moment. Sonya needs no defense, especially by me.

I have a pretty good idea of who you are, and if you remember the last time we faced off, you didnt do so well, in fact it was pretty pathetic. You asked me what deoderant I use. You made smalltalk about the Large Hadron Collider and told me how you were pretty sure there’s no such thing as a Higg’s Boson.

Your big words dont scare me or Johnny5, Bucko.

Deodorant? That should be the least of your concerns while competing Don Juan? Do you get some type of perverted thrill inquiring as to Steakbellie’s deodorant? Maybe you use a feminine deodorant. Don Juan you stink
