Either you have it or you dont. Some people can take a year off and still come back like they never left. Brian D. is an example of just that. Wife had a baby , took some time off to help uut but the capacity never dies. Great job

Brain freeze was not a factor at all. For me it was Joey,Adrian, and The awesome traveling Dudlight.

I love the “legendary eater” sarcastic note, but my guess is Sean “Wrecking Ball” Brockert. I did come out of retirement for a one time apperance. Ice cream is a food that I always wanted to do and the event was close to home so its not something I could turn down and as bad as I was when i was competing not competing for so long and trying to do a contest was even harder. For those wondering I did 4.5 pints and I am proud of everyone of them. Also brain freeze was not really a factor for me or any of the guys I talked to after. They did two undercard event and a kids “neat eating” contest before the “main event” and by the time we took the lids off the ice cream it was 80% liquid and not very cold. It was vanilla ice cream and still very good but definetly a very hard food too eat in a large quantity so quickly, the fact that Joey did nearly two gallons goes to show why he really is the number one eater in the world!

Congratulations to Wrecking Ball for his enjoyment and attitude and love Rake and Herald. They get rid of the nonsense comments about accuracy by using one source, the people who do the event and say take it up with them/ their twitter. You would think from some of the comments that people equate competitive eating with NBA etc. Come on everyone, this is PR, fun, spun events etc. We are lucky to have the loopy R and H which offers great British style humor and puts lots of effort into bringing entertainment and information in a great package. They do not make money for their efforts as far as I know. They do it out of fun and passion. And they do a hilarious and fantastic job of combining things, getting quotes, videos etc.
