I believe they forked over $200. to Cookie the last time. If its the same, i’m only interested if “fed” eaters are involved. to prove i’m as good. Otherwise, I don’t care, have it be a “fed” event.

Can we have the pitiful totals for the chocolate eating contest please, or are the results to anemic (yes, I know thats the 2nd time I used anemic) to post?!

I have removed the comment by No Mas responding to Brian Seiken’s claim that the Chicago chocolate contest was a setup for Pat Bertoletti because the personal insults were not necessary. I will approve a comment responding to Seiken’s criticism of the Chicago field if the attacks are omitted. Seiken has a blog at beautifulbrian.blogs.com if No Mas would like to post there.

If OJ doesnt want to post my unedited response to “No Mas” i have no problem with that . Fair is fair . But whats not fair is leaving those assinine remarks posted since 7pm est while my rebuttals were left in the shredding room. leaving me to believe that the author got some personal entertainment out of it. Go to bits and pieces on my site i will post my entire unedited response to this illiterate idiot “No Mas” . The word “edit” or sponsor commercial doesnt exist in my book . Ex(BB corner) .In the future you should be on the ball when screening hate mails or remarks made about people in the IFOCE or anyone for that matter This time you were not.

I read what Brian posted about the contest I can’t believe he said that either. I also thought it was insulting to some very good eaters. Joe M when this contest first came out I also thought chocolate would be easy but after several practice runs I Knew the totals would be low. To prove a point pick up 2 1/2lb Hershey bars (they are sold everywhere) and go for it tell us what kind of time you get I bet you get a better picture of how hard this contest is. If the Bars were thinner or softer I would also agree the times should have been faster. But in this case they were thick and hard.

I think that no matter how think or sweet chocolate is definitely not an easy food to eat specially under a certain time limit. The thicker and the sweeter the chocolate the harder would be to eat it, that’s just a simple physics law so I think what we should do is to try ourselves some chocolate eating and then let’s say how good we did as Bubba just said … any volunteers? 🙂

Someone in the IFOCE or a participant in that contest possibly made those nasty remarks which doesnt surprise me one bit. I still have strong reservations it was CC but ill let it go for the time being I have no problem with Bubba Yarbrough. i never knocked his credentials as an eater. People took my comments way out of context. . I was only reacting to an unnamed eater who claims he couldnt get a response from the ifoce on the money breakdown which is why he pulled out. Like i said i have a rebuttal planned on my next show. Without actually meeting this asshole face to face its second best than hiding behind a PC.

BB= I can make wild accusations and slander people on my own web site but if one foul word is uttered about me I’ll cry until it is taken down. BWAAAA BWAAAAA.

OJ=Alright alright I’ll take it off.

Just another example of Brian crying like a baby until he gets his way.

I never complained about taking down your remarks. My beef was OJ not posting my rebuttals to your sorry ass no life comments. He realized whats fair is fair . If i cant be heard then your comments come down as well. Like i said be a man and attach a name to “No mas” . Ill bet i was right on my previous remark

I don’t have a problem with bb’s remarks, his free speech allows him to speak his mind. However I can’t say the same about gi joe. It’s a lot easier to criticize from the sidelines a contest. Especially when you were not there eating the same food the contestants were. There is no reason badmouth the ifoce or its members, as the ifoce or its members don’t go out of there way to talk smack about you or your organization. I do remeber a post made by gi joe in the past saying that you cannot compare different grilled cheese qualifiers and year to year contests. Likewise, he shouldn’t talk crap about results because each contest is different. Chocolate is a humbling food, 2 #’s to a pro is nothing, but we all know that some foods are slow and some fast. I would love to see gi joe get granted back into the ifoce just to see him get his ass beat by sonya, chestnut, and lefevre. We’ll see if he is still talking smack about results after that happens.

gi joe has essentially been forced to the sidelines. In an event of length, Sonya, Joey & LeFevre would probably & 2 of them in the past have kicked gi joes ass before. While I have improved in lengthier contests, its unlikely I’d take those 3 if they don’t have a bad day. In a shorter event I would give them a solid run.

I had trouble logging in due to bb’s feud w/ someone?! So there is a further response on speedeat.

I may have a further response on Monday

Well this is just my humble opinion, I am aware I have never been in an eating contest there with IFOCE or AICE and that my speciality is eating in long timed contest more than speed but I think that it is not the same to drink, for example, a gallon of skimmed milk than a gallon of egg nog! We know that more sugar, fat, salt or spices a food has, the harder to eat so each contest has its own situation and circumstances.
    Thanks
    Alex

    Pat,

You are really to be commended on how well you did in the chocolate contest (so are you Bubba). I know it was a very difficult contest to really put up any kind of number and that 7 minutes would not be enough time to do so. Both of you guys were terrific and those of us in the know realize that.

Thanks rich, you’re right in saying that chocolate is no walk in the park.
