Furious Pete completes Eagle’s Deli challenge

“Furious” Pete Czerwinski’s facebook reports he completed that he completed the burger challenge at Eagle’s Deli in Boston which will be renamed the “Furious” Pete Burger. The total weight of the challenge is 12 pounds including a 5 pound pattie and 5 pounds of french fries.

    Go to the supermarket and buy 5 or 6 lbs of chopmeat which will cost you $10 or under. Cook it buy frozen French fries some lettuce tomato and you got your own challenge. Record it on your webcam for youtube . Why travel all the way to boston or anywhere else The only thing is to find a store that sells a very large bun. Only a moron will pay $55 for that shit

    If i finish the burger it will still cost me close to $20 if i do the challenge at home which is still less than tolls and gas it will cost if i complete the challenge at eagle diner

    These challenges are all about the thrill of accomplishment. You won’t necessarily save money by traveling around to take them down, but not paying a penny for loads of food is a hell of an incentive if you happen to be in the area.

    Someone beat it August 2009, but Eagle’s Deli decided to not acknowledge the prior winner.

    It’s still a great accomplishment, but unfortunately, he’s not the first to beat it. Just the first to agree to the fine-print about advertising agreements. =/

    Thanks for the info. Do you know how long the first finisher took to eat the burger & fries? Pete needed about 45 minutes.
