    some years ago Furious Pete expressed interest in signing with MLE. They shot him down because they were influenced by one or two high profile members who thought Pete would not be a good fit. I think anyone who follows competitive eating knows why. Bringing Molly in might take the spotlight away from Chesnut and would most certainly take the spotlight away from Sudo. I am positive Molly is unable to eat 70 hot dogs in 10 min . I am not even sure she can eat 50 in ten minutes. What i am sure about is that she can beat Sudo in a circuit events and the Nathans finals. Some tangibles need to be worked out before a final decision is made

    How do you know she is talking to George and Rich. And I know they didn’t want to take on Pete because his history of health. Not good for PR, anorexia and bulimia. I think Sonya and Juliet (RIP) suffered from that, anorexia, Juliet more than Sonya. You could see it easily.

    Sonya performance at Nathans in 2018 was enough reason for her to quit competitive eating altogether. If she did actually throw up at the finals which has yet to be considered actual fact, she might have lashed out at George demanding he keep it undercover or stormed off the stage flew away into the night never to be heard from again.

    @8:55 mle doesn’t care if the spotlight is taken off of Chestnut or sudo, they care if the person in the spotlight is going to hurt the image and marketability of competitive eating. Molly has shown that she can eat, she has also shown that she is about as marketable as a convicted pedophile. Over the years sponsors have not been happy with her image and have either not returned or changed the rules so she couldn’t compete. In fact, the only reason she is considering joining mle is because independent contests have dried up. If the brothers do let her in the league, she’ll be on a short leash.

    I agree with 5:05. Can we expect OJ to monitor all comments? It would be difficult to decide, in many cases, which ones should not be published. It is my belief that he does weed out or does not publish some comments which are particularly egregious. It seems that many, unlike you, thrive on writing anonymous hateful comments. They wish to criticize everyone. Those are the people who ruin this site. People stop reading. Of course one could read without reading the comments. Those who think they have the inside scoop, know that they really do not, comment as if they do, just waiting for someone to take the bait. And they do.

    After the Menchetti comment asking if a hot dog exhibition with hardy and booker in westbury Nathans 2008 was by invitation only to blacks like Don Cornelius and Farrakan , Booker vowed in a comment that he would never post on this site again and so far hes stood by it . It’s probably the only vow he stood by because that same year he vowed to retire from competitive eating and hes still with it

    Dave is only a financial partner and has very limited tasks with MLE. Dave cannot be OJ. That is such a ridiculous claim as to be stupid. OJ is OJ.     I also think Dave is OJ. He was behind marketing Sonja when she first started. That’s when eatfeats started up. This is very possibly true bacause this site was all about Sonya in the begining. All competitive eating news amateur or pro brings attention to MLE. Pretty smart on their part. Some of these opinions come from MLE because they want us to believe this site is not connected but it is a perfect marriage.

    trying to determine if your logic might ring true. This site was started right around the time US open of competitive eating in Vegas was going on. Dave was at the event . OJ said he was hoping to obtain some photos. It was also right around the time BB threatened to dump his website if he wasnt invited to the event so eatfeats might have been a backup plan in case he did . At the time there were no other eating websites around . If he tried pulling that stunt now, they would tell him to go shove it

    OJ must be laughing and splitting his sides at such nonsense. People come here to find out about contests, challenges and other news. MLE doesn’t have time to fool with finding such details. They are busy making money and figuring out how to make more. How much money do you think this website generates? You can speculate all you want but until someone really finds out who OJ is, it is all hot air. And no one will because if they could have, they would have by now. Finding out would be something MLE would likely like to know. So much negativity, as so many people have mentioned, is not good for competitive eating. That they do not want. Of course, even if they found out, there is nothing they could do. OJ isn’t breaking any laws whatsoever. He provides a service, likely all a labor which he likes or loves. Why would he do it otherwise?

    If someone was actually on to OJ identity he wouldnt post the comment. Isn’t that a hint right there? If he enjoys spending his time doing what he likes then good for him. There is nothing really motivating about posting results from contests or keeping tabs on independent eaters or anything related to it. In the early days it was a novice kinda fun and enjoyable to watch and participate, but over the years its become boring silly and unhealthy. Same eaters in mle win the same contests day in and day out. I could see if the top eaters visited the site and posted under their real names , then it might be worth a few clicks of the mouse but that hasnt happened in more than 10yrs . Another negative thing to consider is that OJ still uses word press which is about as ancient as dial up internet. Really OJ if you want to make this site more appealing and attract more than two handfuls of followers , spruce up the site . Let people post pics , images or a like, dislike, agree, disagree, button for comments. It would certainly add another dimension instead of living in 1999

    I have always thought it was Dave too. He is a marketing guy. This site is perfect for that. All contests on any level will lead back the MLE. It’s free advertising.     Welcome to trencherwomen (a trencherman is a big eater), a blog about healthy women with hearty appetites and their gastronomic feats.     If you check out archives July 2005 which is first month of trencherwoman launch later changed to eatfeats, scroll through the entire page and OJ mentions the difficulty in finding photos of the US open of competitive eating even though Subich and BB site posted some photos. Does this sound like someone affiliated with major league eating? Dave Baer presence was very visible during the event . Matter fact he was handing out the $600 checks to all the eaters invited to Vegas prior to the start of the US open. I know for a fact because i was there . If Dave needed photos he would be the first to gain access to them. I would love to side with you guys about Baer running eatfeats but after OJ said he was looking for photos from the event, Baer running the show just doesnt add up

    650. Mle is more than Dave. It’s a communications business and eatfeats is communication. This is more about marketing not the two dozen of us commenting here. You can look up any competitor or food record and Eatfeats will come up. To me that’s spells marketing for global expansion and I am the second one here that Dave told me he is starting to work on the global expansion of information to boost fan interest. So if you think because Dave was somewhere and oj was trying to get pics remember Dave doesn’t work alone in mle. In the end does it really matter to us probably not. It’s a business and mle is the cream of the crop when it comes to competitive eating. I’m hungry now so good evening all my friends

    While news people like to have viewers riled up, He is absolutely correct. It is a fact. The death toll has risen, there is no cure, and a vaccine is at least a year to a year and half away. So what does this have to do with competitive eating. Well if I were an eater, I would think carefully about competing. Crowds of people you do not know but mostly being so close to each other with food falling, being ingested above all else is a problem.

    One of the quickest ways to get the Corona virus is to compete in an eating contest. Sprays of saliva, coughing , sneezing you name it the germs are spread in rapid fashion
