Congratulations to all competitors. Sonya has now won 4 of the last 5 contests, facing Joey Chestnut in all of them. Pat Bertoletti shows that his victory over Sonya and Joey was no fluke with a close third place. Good Luck to Joey, Rich and all the other Wing Bowl entrants Friday.

I am curious to hear how the sandwiches compared to the sandwiches in the qualifiers and how Charles Hardy’s rule limiting sandwich immersion to 5 seconds affected times.

As you all know the circuit had many different caterers making the sandwiches so there was no real consistency on the circuit. Just because someone may eat 32 today does not mean they will do the same somewhere else. As far as the dunking rule it had to be because it’s really difficult to judge if someone has a cup full of crap. How many sandwiches is equivalent to a cup of crap?

    (X+ Cup O’ crap =27 sandwiches)

    But, seriously,

You could go with no dunking, or making them drink the contents.of the cup. Seems to me, to accurately rule on 5 seconds, you would need 11 judges. Even if all the sandwiches were the same size, the #’s should go down w/ the 5 second rule.

No dunking that would go over like a lead balloon!! The IFOCE provides the world with an open class of competitive eating, barring dunking is ridiculous! I hope the IFOCE never goes the way of “picnic style” or heaven forbid no “Hands” eating competition. We all have seen what it has done for other organizations. The 5 second rule is a good comprimise to alleviate the excessive debris in cups. My only question is what happens when you obey the 5 second rule and their is still debris in the cups? The real problem is the debris in the cups but I’ll leave it up to the judges and I’ll concentrate on eating.

With all due respect to the Godfather i think i beat Kevin quite handily. I had all the pickles in my mouth while Kevin still had 3 or 4 left in his bowl and my bowl was empty. As long as its in my mouth that should be enough to cover the victory . I coughed for a second and a fragment or two might have gotten out. Not worthy of a DQ in my book but Hardy is the commissioner and he calls it as he sees it so i have to respect his decision. I did have a bloated mouth which didnt help matters and it boils down to who swallows first . As bad as those pickles were i knew i had a job to do and i thought i took care of it. Oh well thats the breaks. Thanks for the video JS i thought it would never surface.

This is for the record . No more Beautifulbrian Krazy Kevin pickle matchups unless i am offered a huge appearance fee or its part of an alka seltzer U.S. open . Let Kevin face off against Ed Jarvis who is the current Carnegie Deli Pickle champ. There should have been some prize money for the both of us . If they have 20g to burn for grilled cheese then a small portion of that money could have been put on the table for the undercard. If both of us are considered such a huge draw then show us the money next time. Fair is fair dont you think?

Congratulations to all of you who took part in this eating contest. I really admire your efforts and no matter how much you ate, you just great competitive eaters willing to face any challenge. I definitely need to improve my speed. Patrick Bertoletti and Ray Meduna have watched my half gallon milk video so they can tell you I am not talking b. s. However, I am not going to send the videos to someone I don’t even have an idea who is, I know all but all of the known names in competitive eating, and if you are not that known and want me to send the videos, well at least let me know who you are, I have a profile here and I would be more than happy to share more info with you but I don’t like my videos or pics just posted everywhere, I am not famous, at least not yet and I am a shy guy too! 🙂

One question for you guys, what’s the most liquids (of any kind) you have drunk in one sitting and in how many minutes? and what’s the fastest time for a half gallon, gallon or 1.5 gallons, etc, that you have drunk in one sitting? Just to have an idea if I am good enough to go there and give it a try in a contest this year. I am planning to go to USA hopefully, this summer.

    Thank you very much!

P S. I just changed my profile to EatChugHugeFast!

A word of advice for the last time. Noone likes a braggart and you are one. You must be a kid because adults do not act this way. Noone cares about your videos or you for that matter. If you are looking to become famous drinkin 1/2 gallon of milk in whatever seconds you say isn’t going to make you famous. If this is how you intend on becoming famous then you are more of an asshole than we could imagine
