Houston Matzoh Ball report

The Jewish Herald Voice has a report on Sunday’s matzoh ball eating contest held at Kenny’s & Ziggy’s New York Delicatessen in Houston. Hopefully the event did not produce a loss for the Marvin Zindler Fund for Pancreatic Cancer Research; only four non-professionals (who contributed at least $250) competed. The contest had a representative from a CPA firm counting each competitor’s total.

FYI it wasn’t a loss for the Marvin Zindler Fund, and the implication by an “objective” website like eatfeats isn’t very responsible. Many people in the crowd, including an NFL football player from the Cleveland Browns, gave healthy donations to the fund.

Joey,Pat and Dr. Bigtime all donated too..i donated too if you count the fact that i got about 70 Matzah Balls to practice with and only ate 13.5 during the event, and Nate and I both donated 38 dollars to the 7.5 sandwhich challenge they have there too and i gave the half that i didnt finish to a homeless guy afterwards – i just sucked at the event totally, but as always it was lots of fun,it was for a real good cause (and is going to be an annual event now) and i made a new friend the very beautiful Elisabeth Blanchard, she will be in more events too..Have A Nice Day 🙂
