It has been over two weeks since Pat Bertoletti won the Wingstop wing eating contest in Dallas on April 13 and results have not been posted on the contest page on IFOCE.com. (Results have been added to more recent contest pages.) Bertoletti's winning total has not been listed on the IFOCE records page despite being more than three pounds greater than the previous record.

    Okay, upfront I am a big fan of this website. Now that that is out of the way, it seems that eatfeats is a stickler for correct information and quickly corrects things when they are pointed out. I like that he is more than just a statistician, he clearly loves to research things. This issue is different. He or she or them look closely at everything. MLE doesn’t keep good records or do things in a timely way, even so, as he points out, other things have been updated. It isn’t that Bertoletti hasn’t beat Joey etc, it is the huge discrepancy in the amount. Like in every sport as far as I know, the call is the call. You cannot take it back. The judges, the refs decisions stand. If they made a mistake, whoever made it, counting, weighing, whatever, out of public view I am sure that MLE will square things with their top eaters. I can just hear the don’t be so sure. You will never know publicly because the top eaters do not comment on here and would, as they should, keep this information private and among the people who are affected. The rest is guesswork but it takes no genius to figure out that that gap in numbers from Pat to Joey is way too big.

    Okay upfront you are a big fan of the site.? eatfeces is a stickler for unconfirmed info. Just check out the stat page filled with loads of ??????. Seiken was the leader and pioneer of the sport and not eatshit.com . OJ Rifkin copied most of Seikens ideas like the stat page for starters. OJ Rifkin was and never will be in touch with the eaters. He hides behind the internet similar to a peeping tom and relies on info from the web and open facebook pages. MLE does keep accurate records but the people that run that show have a life and dont have time to update unlike the one that runs this blog . BB.com is always in touch with the eaters and regardless of what the haters comment about Seiken(always negative) he gets accurate information. Seiken competes and reports first hand action from some of the contests because he is there on the scene. Is OJ Rifkin there? He prays that the internet wont fail him or else there is no headline to the event. Nothing more than a f– copycat

    Maybe I am not in the know. I only can judge beautifulbrian by what he writes here. Since you are his fan, how about asking him to give us some information here, not spewing. I like stats. I like that JamminJoe and Boones contests are put up side by side to see results. If anyone thinks they are not accurate, certainly they can write it here. Eatfeats seems to correct anything when shown some kind of verification. Encourage Seiken to write something here that we would not find out about, something he knows because of being in direct contact with eaters. I will look forward to more information.

    Seiken Fan, whenever they build the Competitive Eating Hall of Fame, marble statuettes of past, present, and future competitive eaters should be placed along a long, serpentine walkway leading to the main entrance. As the path gets closer to the main entrance, the statuettes should be bent over in progressive fashion, whereby as visitors arrive at the main entrance, the statuettes are kneeling on one knee with ouststretched hands, reaching upward and forward, toward the largest and featured, colossal marble presence, that of The Great Beautiful Brian Seiken, whose web presence made competitive eating what it is today. This may, in some small way, underscore the tremendous influence this man has had on the sport, worldwide.

    It is frustrating when threads veer away from the subject but sometimes certain issues need to be addressed . It is not that Seiken is a mean spirited person, its more about OJ Rifkin the troublemaker. If you remember at the beginning of the year Seiken made a peace offering for the new year . OJ Rifkin blatently posted links of various news stories that Seiken had posted on his site without giving him credit . The first few times he ignored it then it became more frequent . OJ Rifkin didnt like being made a fool of with Helen Haggerty , Well the same applies here. When someone offers to bury the hatchet and you turn around and make them look like a fool how do you think that person feels? Seiken has every right to sabotage these threads . Is it fair in allowing others to mock , ridicule and destroy Seiken integrity while Rifkin protects other precious competitive eaters from receiving similar treatment? Note how certain comments are blocked and others go through. Shit on Seiken is permitted without question. Even threats on his life are welcome. Every anonymous fool that sides with OJ Rifkin lives in a state of denial. They refuse to hear Seiken side of the story by playing him off as a raging nut filled with anger . Not the case at all. Everybody has different ways of getting even or shall i say getting their point across. Unfortunatly for Rifkin he ran into a relentless bull that refuses to give up. To quote an old honeymooner episode from Ralph Kramden. “Ill bet you thought you never run into a busdriver huh”

    Seiken fan please understand that there are many, many sources of the same information on the internet, and I don’t think it’s fair for Brian Seiken to blame OJ when he credits sources other than bb.com. What’s he supposed to do, take it upon himself to check bb.com every time he finds information from another source? That’s not only an unfair expectation imposed on OJ, it’s not being honest, when this site’s author finds information elsewhere.

    Also, I don’t think bb.com uses web feeds. I’m sure OJ does. So in that case OJ is getting information as soon as it hits the internet, and he gives credit to the source from which the information is found. Seiken could do the same thing. Probably if he worked to repair the relationship with this site’s author OJ might be willing to reveal some information gathering tactics to help Brian’s site out. But I think there has been way, way too much name calling on Seiken’s part. That’s my guess.

    I think the repairing relationship scenario has been played out time and time again . It just doesnt pay to be nice to someone who should thank the person who put him on the map in July 2005. I am sure this blog would have taken off eventually but its the little things like a small mention in bits and pieces that got the ball rolling for trencherwomen.com.     For those of you who find Brian to be disturbed, don’t respond, pretend he doesn’t exist, and recognize anything he writes is just to gain attention for himself at the expense of others. Don’t worry because anybody in their right mind knows that his opinions mean nothing. For those of you find him crazy and enjoy reading his insane rants, you should also pretend he doesn’t exist. You’ll find it pretty hilarious, he starts talking to himself in posts with made up people, lots of swearing, the paranoia sets in, and then he really goes off the deep end when he’s not getting the attention he feels he deserves. You guys should try it, it’s been done before and it’s pretty funny to watch him lose it. Like a three year-old spoiled brat, “Look at me! Look at me! Why isn’t anybody paying attention to me!”

    Gavonne is a loser. He has no friends no social life so he needs to be accepted somewhere. This is his outlet If he was just a lot of hot air nobody would pay attention to him but he was tried and convicted for physically stalking another human being.and spent time in prison so in essence he is considered dangerous. He will never be able to work a day in his life although i doubt he ever held a job to begin with . Might have served time in a dorm prison separated from the prison population but prison is prison. Apparantly the criminal justice system doesnt deem him a threat to society so the released him to roam the streets. He is homeless . He doesnt even own a PC. His only internet access is through the public library. . . He brings nothing to competiive eating He is a wannabe that craves attention that nobody in this world will ever give him. When he gets sick of talking about Seiken he moves on to other victims like Menchetti Will Millender, US Male and Jill Stoler. If you ignore his FB requests or diss him in any form or fashion he lashes back with vulgar threats and or anti semetic remarks. There are many Gavonnes out there its unfortunate the he found the sport of competitive eating as an outlet to harrass and humiliate others. Very similar to a stray cat that was thrown out of his home only to wander the streets in search of love . Pitiful is the only way to describe such a loser
