Incredible that Seiken continues to act like a child. “I was first. My daddy can beat up your daddy.” Seiken could give away free meals at his site and I still wouldn’t scare to visit.

You see this is the mentality of OJ rifkins fanbase. . Slam Beautifulbrian. at all costs. Make him feel like shit. His site sucks blah blah. Nothing but ungrateful callous assholes . One of these days you wont have this fake site to run to everytime you want news about competitive eating . What does that mean “wouldnt scare to visit”??? You illetirate fool . Yes Brian did report that first and FYI he knew about this contest before it was posted on twitter you ill informed piece of dirt. He thought it best to wait for an announcement. Something wrong with that also? You are a pathetic maggot hole who takes personal pleasure in ripping someone that has spent the past 7yrs entertaining the fans of the sport.. Ironic that you have the luxury of going anonymous when you post under your real name most of the time. Its only when it appears to be Brian posting that you suddenly change to an alias so he doesnt recognize your sorry ass when you cross paths at a contest.

What happened to Krystals. IFOCE had the Krystal Sliders. Now the Roy Rodgers Sliders. What’s next. The White Castle Sliders? Eaters cannot eat similar food but they can take the money and run similar contests? Just asking.

Wonder how a Roy Rodgers Big Angus burger will taste? Do they get 5 points too?

Actually, since the top dogs (George and Rich, etc.) all have twitter pages, all anyone has to do is subscribe to the various twitters to find news as it happens. I would imagine that’s exactly what BB and OJ did. Personally, I don’t subscribe to any twitters, so by coming here first I can get the info as it happens.

Thanks OJ! I still don’t know how you do all you do. You’re the rock star of competitive eating databases and blogs, even if some of the “adult” (and I use that term loosely) visitors douse it with childish verbal tirades.

Your patience never ceases to amaze!

One final thing here: My (or anyone’s) lauding OJ does not equate to saying something negative about someone else. I say that, because, unfortunately, that’s how one or more visitors to this site perceives things, and that’s simply not true. So there’s no need to lambast OJ and I hope it stops.

(I know what comments are coming next, as if I have a Krystal ball; I hope I’m wrong.)

Re Anon1023 and whether this contest is a conflict of interest with the Krystal folks. I’m not sure if Roy Rogers and Krystal Burger are in the same areas. If they are, this would seem like a tricky sponsorship. I’m assuming the Shea’s cleared it with the good folks at Krystal before they booked this one. After all, Krystal is arguably the best sponsor in all of competitive eating.

As for who reported this news first, I really don’t think it matters. I will admit that BB’s site often has the scoop on news before Eat Feats does, but Eat Feats will continue to be the go-to source for CE news and the place most people flock to because it’s very user friendly, easy on the eyes, and, most importantly, it offers readers the ability to comment on news items and interact with each other (for better or for worse).

Perhaps, but from a marketing perspective they’re both fast food lunch options and can take a bite out of each others marketshare. Regardless, I agree with you mostly, Freddy. I don’t think either camp is too concerned about a competitive eating event making a negative impact either way.
